| Mitarashi Anko is the examiner for the second part of the Chunin Selection Exam in which Uzumaki Naruto takes place in the Forest of Death. During the exam, she arrives at a confrontation with Orochimaru and it is revealed that he used to be her sensei. It seems she had also received Orochimaru's cursed seal, but was abandoned as Orochimaru decided that she didn't have the desire for power along with vengeance and hatred, and the Seal disappeared; when Orochimaru battled Anko, he was able to make her cursed seal return, thus incapacitating her with pain as well as ending their fight. Anko knows several forbidden techniques taught to her by Orochimaru, the most notable of which is Sojasosai no Jutsu (literally "Twin Snakes Mutual Death"), a suicidal technique she attempted to use to eliminate her former sensei in the forest of death for the good of Konohagakure. | |
