I talked about this in a thread I made a while ago talking about naruto's and sasuke's counters:

Ever time I see this I always think of Kirin, just the sight of this rapid wind coming from the sky. (Yes not cannon I said it just gives me the thought read on)

There has been references about Naruto and Sasuke about Wind and lightening.

I think Kirin is stronger but in Naruto wind is naturally stronger than lightening so this might help it out. For some reason I can just Image naruto saying while sasuke's kirin is in the sky saying "EAT THIS!!" and throwing it at it even if kirin is stronger Naruto is way stronger then Sasuke right now so it doesn't really matter. Just a thought.

Kirin. It travels faster and it's sheer size at its speed gives it way too much force to lose to RS. At best for RS, it's a draw, but this is highly unlikely as Kirin could blow up a mountain and RS only makes a large crater

kirin is actual lightning from the sky, and kirin is much more higher in destructive level

Creating kirin takes while FRS can be created even base mode using two clones but FRS can be avoided but Kirin is almost unavoidable if u ask me ill say it depend on situvation. Both are really strong jutsu's

Wind techs. may have advantage over Lightning techs. but, this is only when the two techniques are on the same range. Kirin is a more vast technique than Rasen shuriken. Using just ordinary chakra (even like naruto's) would drain the user of chakra(zetsu episode 138). Rasen shuriken requires chakra, but not as much as Kirin and it's speed is as fast as light so..............Kirin>>>>>>>>Rasenshuriken

If it's from the initial state where it's determined who'll strike first: Rasen-Shuriken by far, Kirin needs loads of minutes for preparation...
If it's form the state where both shoot there jutsus at a same time: Kirin by far, Rasen-Shuriken won't even reach half the distance when Kirin would hit...
If it's when both techniques collide: I think FRS takes this one because of superior nature and molecular effect...

Right. So since Wind > Lightning ... RS would just cut straight through Kirin if they collided.

Well that is basically how I would see it, even if the RS is thrown.

Let's say Sasuke attacks Naruto with Kirin, Naruto throws the RS at the same time. Due to higher speed, Kirin covers a far greater distance in a shorter amount of time than RS. However, it is to no avail because the RS negates it (just cuts through it).

Meanwhile, Kirin continues to destroy the ground all around Naruto in the same way that it did around Itachi.

(Or, Naruto just does a speed blitz on Sasuke while Sasuke is holding his hand in the air for dramatic effect )

Lightning is not as fast as light my friend.
The speed of light is 299,792,458 miles per second
The average speed of lightning (as not every strike is the same speed) is 186,000 miles per second.

Just saying..

In my own opinion Rasenshuriken is a better technique over all.

RS is not an odinary chakra it wind+chakra.wind > lightening PS BM RS> normal RS.......
