2 EPIC Suggestions, Mods Must see!

Ok so I've been waiting to see if the Mods/Admins would do this on their own, but I guess nope, they won't... I have two suggestions that might be good for this site ^^

♦1♦ Automated thread update whenever there's a new post: What I mean is they should remove the refresh mechanism and add a Facebook notification system to these posts



♦2♦ A Chat system, like (also) on Facebook groups, this would be a lot easier for members to express their feelings without making a new thread to just say "I'm Bored" or "Naruto Rocks" , or "How's everyone doing", or to simply say there's a new manga out or I have a quick question.
these threads come on top of important threads that are pushed away from the list and people would never see them, and BTW some of them are really great subjects to talk about and discuss.

An example :

Member A needs to know about RP, or wanna ask about an Episode title or number. So Member A asks these questions on the chat bar that would be on the bottom right corner.

Member B,C,D,E..... can answer his questions without double posting or making a new thread. therefore saving time, and making space for Important threads and discussions.

*** And wait, I don't think Mods really read those... I haven't seen a Mod replying or saying that this is a good Idea and we'll consider it or think about it.... Now why is that? :shrug:

Chat system would be an awesome idea, but it has been suggested before. I think for now it would mean too much work for the staff. I am not familiar with the whole managing internet site system, but seems it would be a huge burden to the site.

I'm surprised that you've been here for how long...more than 6 months and you haven't read the several threads where the "Chat thingy" has been proposed.

So basically all those one word answer threads are not useless, I'm talking about majority here, not all of us use MSN or group chat, and an Idea like that would be at least somewhat helpful ^^ , and I'll go ahead and check out the subscribe to thread thingy

1st one: That was actually done before if you are talking about threads updating themselves automatically, however, it wasn't as good as people thought it would be, it was actually a bit annoying and it slowed nb down drastically until the server crashed from over load.



2nd one: Search tool. That's been suggested countless timers and over all, it would overload the server and honestly, what mod would sit the countless hours a day to watch over members chatting. Just adds work to staff as well.

About the Chat box:

Yes, maby it is a good idea. There is a chat box but only for Staff members. I hope there will be one. Also, it is suggested before. Use the ''Search'' tool.

Edit: Yes! There should be a Chat box! NB is getting very booring. Only the same threads posting, nothing new, etc.
There will be more members. Also, more fun on NB!

IF there was a chat box implemented, I'd hate to be the moderator to have to sit there watching it to make sure everyone behaves.

yeah except a chatbox is paced way faster, which means that things get out of control much faster. However, I think it would be too much of a strain on the servers to make one for the whole site. Thats just speculation though...
