I doubt he's dead too, dying from a giant blast like that isn't heroic enough for a character of his stature. He's either been saved or is buried under rubble being treated by the slugs.

That last one was a crazy cliffhanger, can't wait until next weeks to see Naruto make his triumphant return. I bet Sasuke gets there as Naruto does and those two go at it.
