There are lots of fighters in this series.But Who is greatest one and Why??

He is the greatest/strongest ninja without bloodline limit or kekkei genkai or something like that.Just pure knowledge and power.

Taijutsu-wise... Hands down it's Gai.
He's adept in taijutsu, better than anyone we've seen thusfar.
He's Hokage level.
Beats Kisame with very little ease.
Proven capable of standing on par with a junchiriki.

There are many aspects to a shinobi and more importantly eight categories that define the make up for the main way people fight in the show
like nin tai gen kenjustu and funinjustu nobody has been shown to be dominant in every one you have to be more specific as this will only attract the fan boys.

Exactly, that's why I chose him. He still took on 10 000 or whatever the number was alone and he had to accidentally pierce himself to die. Says alot even if they were the worst of fodder

reason: he is totally great he chooses to end his battle quickly as seen with deidara, orochimaru and kabuto. And he passed the first sage.

reason: he was once the fastest ninja b4 his son, and his techniques are awesome and also his knowledge.

reason: he is so skilled that i dont think any1 knowledge reaches his. And his love for forbidden jutsu says it all.

In terms of power id say Madara.
But then Minato was really strong despite having no tailed beast or bloodline limit power.
Hashirama despite being dead is shaping the ninja world still.
Greatest is a difficult one. Simply for determination, I'll go for Lee :D

He has very good offense because he is skilled with what he has, like rasengan or even kunai, combined with FTG
