So Who Isn't a Genius in Naruto

As we all the the term "genius" has been tossed around in the series more the Naruto's shadow clones . There has been many characters called called a genius and many members take this to heart, in which they think they're entitled to use this as support in proving one's intelligence. However, here



even Lee was called a genius by Kakashi, a respectable character in the series. Now, not to see Lee is a complete dumbass (he's my top three faves), he's far from a genius. Therefore, with this I just want to point out that term genius inst necessarily used in the manner how we view. In the the shinobi world, the term genius comes with simply mastering/accomplishing a hard technique/jutsu. This doesn't prove that ones intelligence is beyond the average shinobi, as many try to argue in VS threads.

So in conclusion, stop always tossing around how one was once called a genius in the series, they all have average shinobi intelligence except for a few.

there are many types of intelect. rock lee is a physical genius. are you mad? he is still the only member of the konoha 11 who can open gates. hes been at it since part one. kakashi can only use the 1st or maybe 2nd gate himself. kakashi is also a genius so what does that tell you?

it's a technique that wasnt taught simply because of the risk, no more else should have been taught this. Btw why would I be mad, i stated the Lee is one of my faves dummy. This is simply pointing out that the term genius doesn't always imply that one is an overall genius, nor significantly smarter than anyone else.

Someone like Sasori was actually called a genius by Kishimoto himself (not through character) and had 5 in intelligence.
I think the OP is referring to characters with average intelligence who had been called geniuses.

I agree with everything except Obito. He was also a natural born genius, who actually looked - before he met Madara - as if he was only a loafer who didn't know how to channel his energy or capabilities. One right nudge, and the man fooled everyone with words alone, including people like Itachi who had innate intelligence to look into people's minds (metaphorically) and judge their next moves.

The sage never created any Ninjutsu. His teachings were termed so. He only created one single Jutsu: Izanagi.

And scientific geniuses Orochimaru, Kabuto, etc. The fact is there was some shinobi who have been called geniuses in the series, though they possess the intelligence of an average shinobi or a little above, which is what some NB members get confused.

I don't remember the manga callin Naruto a genius, only a moron or idiot. I believe the only reason he was paired with Sasuke cause, he was the dumbest so they had to balance it out with the smartest.
