So what do you know of Genjutsu and how do they work?

Genjutsu is art of illusion. It may be used as an escape route, for stalling, or just flat out confusing the opponent. The user uses their chakra to manipulate and distort the normal chakra flow of the opponent. By doing that, it would put them under an illusion.

Genjutsu release methods.

1. The usage of Kai, otherwise known as a surge of chakra, to release yourself from Genjutsu.
2. The disruption of your chakra, attained through activation of a curse mark or similar mode.
3. The injection of a foreign chakra from an external source, example natural chakra for sage mode, another person injecting there chakra in to your body, the dispersion of a clone pushing your chakra back inside of you.
4. Pain, depending on the power of the genjutsu more pain is required, should your limbs be paralyzed completely, its not an option, should only certain limbs be paralyzed like arms or legs you can bite your tongue or lip.

Thats the basics, the releasing from genjutsu via a chakra surge can be done by techniques that create full body surges of chakra, so anything similar to Nagashi, i agree with your sensei here you need to try a bit harder, sorry if this is spam mate just thought i would do my one good deed for the day. lol

I begin by outsourcing my chakra and focusing it on your clone. By doing this, I mess up his chakra flow putting him into an illusion. I then use my chakra to take control of his senses causing him to see, smell, hear, taste, and feel things that correspond with each other giving him the belief that he is in a different place.
