Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
For a better relationship. I used to have plenty of female friends but since i got with my girl i noticed i only have two now. She used to have lots if guy friends but hers arent that much either now.
Should we give up friends that aren't our gender to make our relationships last longer and better or naw?

Up to you. Depends if you trust your girlfriend and if she trusts you. Jealousy ruins relationships very fast.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
I once had a hot cheerleader gave me her phone number. I said no cause I already had a girl friend. What a mistake that was. She broke up with me for her boyfriend in jail that I did not know and I regretted that choice.
Now I'm alone, 18, and I go to NarutoBase at 1:28 am. Life has never been better.
I don't really have any information that would be worth your time. Just do what is right.

^This. It's all about context. However, if you guys can't trust each other, maybe it's time to end it.

Celebi does not approve. No one should have to give up something as precious as friends to secure a relationship that won't work out. It starts by controlling who you hang out with and then it grows... But the choice is yours I'm to busy time traveling.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
It depends, especially on what personality your girl has, mine is cool with the fact that I have other female friends. In the end, it's all about trust issues.

Sadly yes..!
To save the relationship, in most cases..!
Sooner or later, jealousy/doubt begins in most cases..

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
There are actual studies about this topic. If you want a healthy relationship, ties with the opposite gender has to be cut to some degree. Meaning you can't act or flirt with them like you used to when you were single. You would think it's common sense, but some people just dont get it. Sure you can still be friends, just dont text them everyday like you used to or whatever, you have to understand you're not single anymore. Ofcourse if you weren't looking for a serious relationship to begin with, then this information is irrelevant. If that's the case, dont get into a relationship in the first place. Some people just dont get it.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
People think committing to a relationship is like a dead end street. You've committed to a relationship to devote your time to your other half. Surely you have a life outside of it, but why bother going into a relationship if you're going to act the same to people around you. If every person was the same immature teen they were when they first got into a relationship there would be no partnership that lasted longer after a few days because of a lame fight.
Like someone mentioned its common sense to naturally be wary of other members when your in a relationship whether they be a gay/ straight couple. Be smart and consider your partners feelings. If they're open to flirting and allowing you to have the freedom to be immature go for it - just don't do something you'll regret later on. However, if your partner wants you spending less time with that attractive friend, make the sacrifice. You won't be living with the friend for the rest of your life. But you will be there with your partner.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
No, you shouldn't give up friends of the opposite gender because of a relationship, that's ridiculous. I don't have the energy to explain this right now, but this is such a rookie question.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
I have a lot of guy friends, always have and always will. Just how I am, I guess. I get a long with guys more then girls but in a relationship, I don't really hang or talk to them that much. When I do, it is usually for a group activity or a question.

Re: Should we give up friends of the opposite gender
I think those in a relationship drop their friends while the friends don't wanna be 3rd wheels and be ignored and in an awkward situation, so they stray away.
