I think we all agree that Kakashi is an excellent ninja. But I was wondering what he would be like with out his sharingan and I'm interested in peoples' thoughts.
Kakashi does depend on his sharingan a lot during combat but what would he be like with out it?

He would be really weak since he will have a huge blind range
But On the other hand he can be formadble foe with only one eye
kakashi lost the use of his left eye coming to the rescue of obito.
i also agree with you that kakashi could've been even more kick ass. he was Jounin at the age of 10, which is amazing and he did it with out a sharingan. his father was said to be as strong as the legendary senin so we know he's got good jeans. he probably wouldn't have all the jutsus that he knows now because he wouldn't be able to copy them but he would've focused more on perfecting/creating his own techniques.
correction he did lose his eye. another ninja attacked him and ended up slashing his eye making it useless thats why obito gave kakashi his sharingan before he died as a gift
why does Kakashi loose his Sharingan??
i dont hope so cuz then who would turn out to be like a elder who dont lead squards and fight anymore just giving hes knowledge and if he looses his sharingan he cant use Raikiri he only self made justu i mean they wouldent dare then he might aswell be dead...
Probably would be much more like his father in regards to fighting style if he was without the Sharingan. His father was held as high as the Sannin as far as respect and skill, so he would still most likely be an elite ninja. Just probably would be the 2nd coming of his old man instead of the copy ninja.

this is a hypothetical situation. it's a big "what if". what if his left eye wasn't damaged protecting obito so obito never gave him his sharingan.
he would be a bad ninja...because he wouldnt have cared about hit teamates if the whole sharingan thing didnt happen...
i don't think the gift from obito was kakashi's turning point. obito's little rant about how he think kakashi's dad was a hero and ninja who don't watch out for their friends are even worse trash was kakashi's turning point. if you remember kakashi had no intention of going to save rin, he wanted to complete the mission. kakashi and obito split up. obito went to save rin and kakashi to complete the mission. kakashi had a change of heart which is why he went back to save rin and ended up losing his left eye and obito.
without sharingan, kakashi wudnt have spotted kakuzu's hand seal from far, he cudnt have avoided the combo of hidan+kakuzu, he cudnt have copied 1000 jutsus, cudnt have MS, there are lots of things he cudnt do. at the same time, he does have a brilliant mind, he became jounin at 13, he wud have adapted to different situation, but i doubt he wud be as strong as he is without it.
ah great but he wouldent be able to do alot of things if he didnt have Sharingan
yea he did make Raikiri b4 he had Sharingan but couldent use it right becuz normal eyes cant follow the speed so it would be like attacking blind folded not being able to see if theres being made counter attack
and with that out of the pic what justu's we got left becuz cuz of his loss of Sharingan he dont have all the justus he got now what will he have??

and thats so true so he would proberly have matured anyway

yup and he has it activated 24/7 it depletes the bloodline chakr but im not sure how it works with kakashi, so it may be that kakashi is loosing chakra every second

exactly which possibly means he must have had a great amount of chakra before hand.. so who knows what jutsus he could do without that thing draing him all the time.. and plus he already knew the rasengan and chidori at age 13!
plus he could'nt combine nature to the rasengan.. so he created his own combo which is the chidori. thats quite a feat for a youg boy! even the fourth couldn't b/c he died. and jiraiya b/c my guess not smart enough. thats no diss on the great late jiraiya.
