    Re: General Football Debates!

Both UEFA and FIFA have made d!ckheaded decisions since some years now. Both Platini and Blatter sucks. But still, I just got a little more respect for Blatter after this - just because he shows that he still got common-sense.

I don't care if video replay introduction is used extensively or completely but whatsoever, it's far from high time to allow it.

My personal opinion is that we do like in Grand Slam Tennis matches. That is, each team get a limited tokens of the number of time they can use it (let's say 10 for example). In that way, they'll need to choose carefully their 10 ways to use video replaying help when necessary. Also, they won't be able to abuse it and they'll need to leave a certain amount of trust to referees decisions also. Also, the argument that it will slow the momentum of the football match will fade out since it won't be used extensively.

Anyways, that's my opinion that it could be introduced like that. But point is, that it should be introduced. I know, like me, ReLax, you're for it. I'd like to know in which way you'd like to see it introduced; by considering pros and cons of video replaying. I don't know why but I'm getting tickled that we might see something great in 2 years in Brazil. Fingers crossed.

    Re: General Football Debates!

    OK lets do it here,

now another diver join barca well cool story, as far as the euro started i actually don't see anything special from the player(alba), in the 1st game against Italy maggio totally owned him back to back and make casillas work very hard, then in the 2nd game he played good but its to be expected they were up against the Irish after all,

in the 3rd game against Croatia, i have nothing to say in this match he played completely poor and let his post get pass very easily, now in the quarter final against France, oh well he make a good assist and then ? that was France mistake for playing defensive by benching samir nasri so the dude can move forward without any problem,

now in the match against the Portugal, people said he played pretty good but its actually ramos who come and cover up for his mistake and help him defend hs post from nani.............

so i don't get why people overrate him in this euro maybe because barca is interested with him ? or maybe because he was from la massia ? seriously there is nothing special from him, erick abidal is still better when it comes to that position to bad he has health problem so they get alba to become a safety 1st if something ever happened to abidal, but mark my words....

he maybe good in attack but he's not a good defender,

now lets talk about the greatest club in the history of football yeah REAL MADRID!!!!!!!!!!!

so i heard that guti think modric is not good enough for madrid and i agree with him, instead of modric they should have try to get silva from MANC, that man truly show his capacity in this euro after Spain forget about him in the WC 2010, and i believe madrid has what it takes to take him in sicne mdrid have limitless funds unlike the other club who has been fighting with debt since 2008

and maybe they can trade higuain or di maria to get silva to suppress the funds and get him in, if silva come to madrid then its all perfect, as a madridista i really don't like how di maria played last season,

that man always try to pass all the defender by himself and fail epicly and yet people said cristiano is selfish but di maria is worse because he always try to take the ball from the midfield into the box while he's teammate is free, and i can't even count how many times he do that in the match especially in the el classico:sy:

so i say Silva should go to Madrid and DI maria get to MANC

Alba has played fantastic this Euro, matter of fact he's been only getting better. All the analyst have stated this, so you are clearly a typically Barca hater. Ramos marked CR7 and only got Nani when Alba was in on attack, otherwise Alba had Nani down quite good. So your statement is a fail over all.

not really......... ramos is working very well in the back cover both ronaldo and nani when both alba and arbeloa coming to attack, did you even see match ? nani break through countless time but the one who stop him is always ramos as if ramos work alone to cover spain flank, alba get pass pretty easily in his post if it not because ramos then i don't see spain winning the match:shrug:,

and like i said alba is not good at defend but he's a good attacker and the final last night just prove my statement, as we see his amazing run pass over the retarded abate, so my statement is right, and you just typical barca fanboy who like to overrate all their players,

and be prepared since madrid will conquer the la liga yet again, all my statement in the previous post is taken from the match stats in this euro, so i don't see why its fail while its the truth and last night match confirm it.

Yep, I asked for the Euro's thread closure since it's over. Farewell~

Anyone that wishes to continue a discussion from there or start a new discussion, may do so here (as the rules remain the same with me and ReLax as main analysts). This thread was after-all created to keep talking football when there's no major football event.

    Speaking of which:

I'm gonna update regularly on transfers news and latest news that interest me. I'm sure ReLax will do so also.

Bold - What if I want to be a main analysts? Jk

Yeah, the transfer window will be interesting indeed :zonder:

Oh and then there's the Olympic games coming up, although it won't be anywhere near the level of the Euro though. Then the pre season where Barcelona will play Man U and Real will play Juventus and Milan, among other matches. Then the Super Copa matches between Real and Barca...

In other words, lot to look forward to indeed.

And Escorp, time to turn your eyes on the other duties you have soon? -_-

Come on, it can be true. Who knows?

    ----

I was reading somewhere an article about the Santos star, Neymar and I read there that Neymar was most likey coming to Barcelona or Real Madrid when he move Europe.

    Linky

Anyway whichever club takes it, things will get hard for the others. Even the Champions League and so on. The domination would be obvious. Unless he joins a club where Messi and CR don't play...

IMO neymar should follow ronaldo(BRA) and ronaldinho step, by joining eredivisi or ligue 1 1st before storming into the 3 top European league, its good to adapt himself with the European football style and atmosphere 1st, and its already been proven by the 2 brazilian top players in the past, i don't want him end up like pato and robinho

The news has no source and it's just another bogus news to fuel the rivalry of Madrid/Barcelona. It's stupid to believe that when neither Casillas nor Mou said anything.

As for Neymar, he'll join Barcelona at 90% certainty. His father doesn't want his son to go to Madrid since he deems that Mou is too much of a disciplinarian and that he'll ruin Neymar's creativity and style.

He said that as if neymar i too big of a star and that he don't need to adapt to a team's tactic. Thus, he believe that Barcelona will suit him better.

Sincerely, Neymar doesn't hold any key to determination. Right now, he's more likely to flop with his current attitude and the over-hype surrounding him. Last thing - if we go by their words, he will Santos only after WC 2014.

And in 2 years, the landscape may well change for better or worst for him.

Nowadays, young players are too overconfident and since media overhypes them, this promotes their thought that they are too good. Thus the obnibulation to become greedy for money and to reach the top at the earliest possible. Patience is almost inexistant in those players.

They tend to forget how the greatest football legends were forged from being loyal, devoted and patient.

All eyes will be on him during this Olympics, let's see what he does. Neymar has been disappointing during most of the big matches with Brazil. Same during the Club World Cup with Santos. Moreover, Hulk has been stealing the limelight from him in recent friendlies.

Spain's Olympic Squad looks promising btw. De Gea, Munian, Tello ect...all had a very promising last season. Plus, Alba, Mata and J.Martinez have been put on standby. Though Mata/J.Martinez barely played during this Euro, Alba played everything. I think it isn't wise to take him with Euro especially since Barca's schedule is always ultra-hectic.

I'd keep an eye to Great Britain team also for the sake of Giggs. One of the greatest footballers ever is finally on a huge National platform. Sure, he can't do wonders at his age but atleast, he's having his chance.

@The bold part. Not that it's much of my interest. No really, I don't care what they do in their free time. But you should know that many things remain in the shadow for a reason or another. So, don't expect Casillas, Mou, or whoever to give out comments about everything. There sure exist rumors...

He thinks himself superior because he plays in a place with not much concurrence. I'm not saying that everything is easy there but it can't be compared with the football played in Europe. That's why he need to come here. Probably that would help him grow as a player and gain maturity. And if this last thing comes true, he will hold the key to determination.
As you said, it may change for better or worse. I myself see it positively.

It's preparation for SuperCopa IMO. Sincerely, I've stopped remembering the huge number of stories that spring up to reveal hate among Barca/Real. Kudos to the "media for that - they are the first and primary reason why the Classico will never be a match where sportsmanship will not be found on the menu. Personally, I love personal/emotional drama before a match but I think it's been WAY overdone by both Barca and Madrid sides in the last 2-3 years. Elections are more civilized than the Classico.

That's what I also say. Still, he needs to come with some humility and humbleness; not as a savior. He won't gain the said "maturity" if he comes like he is right now.

He'll need to come as a team player; not as someone who feels he's larger than a team. Even Messi striven in his early days. Ronaldo; despite his attitude; challenged all kind of obstacles. Nothing was handed to them on a golden plate. The thing with Neymar is that all ex-Brazilian legends want to prove that he already on-par or better than these 2. In that way, Neymar will always be cuddled like the "3-year old billionaire's son".

Besides amazing talent, there are a number of attitude factors and external factors that determined how great a player is IMO. Struggle is one of these factors. But Neymar won't need to struggle when he transits to a big club and that's worrying me about his future. So, yeah, I see it more negatively unlike you.

    I disagree.

Xavi father is right last year a lot of this came out and this Euro we got a better insight.

Casillas calls Valdes after the Espana cup to apologize on behalf of Madrid. #1 thing, why Valdes? Puyol (captain) and Xavi (vice-captian) should have been called. The most I'd expect him to call Xavi since they been friends for a long time. The next game Mou benched Casillas now this is the obvious. Casillas was nor injured and/or tired, especially since it was the beginning of the season I doubt Mou would take a risk like this, but if you mess with him he'll show no remorse. This is a similar thing that happen to Ronaldo after we thrashed them 5-0 he criticized Mou and next game was sitting up top in his box watching the game with his GF. We both know Ronaldo wouldn't want to miss a single game and he hardly gets benched if that comes he won't show for the game, due to it being like their CL group stage the final game a lot of starter got off.

Casillas admitted before the Euro the whole Barca/Madrid rivalry in Spain. He clearly indicated if the Euro happened in 2011, it would have been difficult as they didn't see eye to eye. here is a fact now that Casillas and Xavi friendship was at risk, Barca/Madrid have always had rivalry but never like this. Ever since Mou has touched down its gone to a entirely new level. He did the same in Chelsea, Terry/Rio had war of words and fights also, after Mou departure we hardly see it from them. Inter and Milan same thing.

Final part Casillas was asked about Del Bosue/Mou and he preferred Del Bosque, and said him and Mou didn't share the same vision and/or look eye to eye in a lot of things. He saved himself by saying this is the case everywhere as not many look eye to eye, but nevertheless does support this argument/debate.

Sure Xavi lately has been talking a lot, but Mou/Ronaldo are still the worse complainers/whiners in this game today.

Ronaldo/Mou had talent/accomplishment, but their lame excuse/argument in the press is just lame.

Ronaldo, when he spoke of Mascherno diving lol This is coming from one of the worlds biggest divers, this is more of a hypocrite statement. Messi chants at Euro he attacks Messi who had nothing to do with it. Ronaldo lame image/personality is just sad to see with so much talent in football, but no talent in the personality/characteristic department.

Mou, well lets see if Barcelona win somehow UEFA is behind it, a red card plays a roll when we thrashed 5-0 Ramos butchered Messi and shoved Xavi/Puyol, Mou asks why the red? Mercelo red same thing. he blamed those for his loss despite being all in the 90th minute. If not that questionable calls have been made and he always wants the world to know its like we have a TV and we watch it. This team has refs help and/or dived for calls thats just his excuse. If a game ends and they lose fairly he says we were tired/exhausted lol another pathetic image/personality and he cannot accept defeat.

Porto had players dive which played part in their successful year. Mou should have been out in CL when facing United I'm sure we know Scholes goal which would have made it 3-2 was not offside, but yet given. Porto eventually scored to make it 3-2 for themselves. Barcelona VS Inter plenty of missed calls here, the obvious Ibra shirt got ripped in the PK box and the ball didn't even go there? Did Ibra decide to go Hulk? 2 other PK were missed and a offside goal by Inter including a disallowed one for us which there was no hand involved. Mou two CL wins had come from poor refereeing/decision just has some have favoured Barcelona, but yet this man complains about others, another hypocrite in football.

He has a bitter personality. I mean even when Chelsea won I'm not sure if he congratulated them, despite that he wanted Bayern to win...Why because he couldn't deliver for Chelsea, so he didn't want a much weaker Chelsea side to win (something his healthy/strong Chelsea sided could't do)? Even Alonso he congratulate Chelsea, but mainly Torres/Mata. Barcelona we lost and till this day feel bitter as our staff/players do, but yet Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Messi, and our officially website congrats them for their first ever.

Xavi is correct Madrid don't have proper sportsmanship, they won La Liga we congrats, but Madrid hardly congrats us and if they do they may face punishment from Mou. Many who have left Madrid have stressed their desire that Barcelona are better, there they couldn't but once out the truth comes with it many will say they only said it because they got transferred or kicked out, but as Glida said things are always kept in the shadow.

Anyways regardless if Casillas/Mou don't deny this than we some what have a idea. If this will ever come out it will happen after Mou departs, and than people will either assume, so and so club/player is bitter, because Mou did this and that.

I'm not saying Barcelona are angels and don't do/say anything wrong. Madrid have Ronaldo/Mou and we Have Xavi/Cyruff.

This one is old But media did not care. Had it been Pepe though, it would have been all over the news for sure

    Oh, and this article is very interesting;

Neither Messi nor Ronaldo for the Ballon D'or

I have to say that if Casillas gets nominated and actually won, he would have deserved it.
