that would ruin it, since thats why in the first place laxus got banned from the guild, becasue of wanting to turn it into a dark guild.

I think Laxus will eventually be the head master, but I think it will be Gildarts for the time...provided Makarov actually dies. As Xanthe said he could be saved somehow..low I do think that is a low probability.

Makarov's not dead yet and he's been saved in crazier ways already. Who knows next week Igneel, Grandine, and Metalanca (the metal dragon) may show up to fight the black dragon for attacking their kids (ie Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy). Originally Posted by Teno757

To your question, I'd have to say the next master of Fairy Tail would have to be Gildarts. He's the most powerful, experienced, trusted, and liked member of Fairy Tail outside of Makarov. If Laxus wasn't currently in exile he may have been considered, but with Gildarts around it has to be him. He'll feel responsible to take care of everyone as well with the old man passing.
