Amazing twist. Almost no one saw this one coming and ***** for those who did. It was obvious that the main charachters needed a power boost somehow but I never saw a time skip coming at this point. I'm glad Makarov was saved again even though it was a hopeless situation.

Gildartz mentioned that the dragon wasn't fighting on his full strength but just playing. So I still have reasons to believe dragons don't hate humans but are controled someway or something.

7 years is a lot of time. But it might work out why do all manga charachters have to be teens. If the main guys were like 25 what's wrong with that. A lot stronger and smarter and helping a new generation.

I liked how that circle was set up. Everybody holding hands with people they love. Must've taken Hiro some shuffeling to get it in this order.

Here's how I'm thinking:

Acknowlodgia is the Black Magic Dragon (Since every Dragon has a Dragon Slayer to match, his Dragon Slayer is Zeref, the Black Mage.) and probably battled the other dragons 7 years prior to Tenrou Island (Year X777).

As a result, the dragons disappeared. But we know they're alive, or at least some of them, since we saw Igneel in a chapter a while ago. Although the members of Fairy Tail don't probably have the power of a dragon, their "bonds" probably protected them, since it's the kind of cliche thing a manga would do. Also, I doubt killing off all your main characters so suddenly is a good move, he definitely has something planned.

As for that boy... well, we got a front shot of him roughly 20-30 chapters ago, and when I first saw him I thought he was Romeo, but older. Macau's son, if you need reminding.

I was really expecting makarov to be killed by the dragon so the others could escape... but WTF!?! I can't believe they all died or something.... although I wouldn't mind if evergreen and the face mask guy died....

About the "fairy" girl, is it possible she could have been Mavis since they were on the island? It seems kinda unlikely but Mavis's gender was never given although it sounds like a manly name.......
zeref is probably the dragon slayer of darkness or something like that

I expected Makarov to be killed by the dragon, but I didn't expect the island being blown up and no one being found.

I'm excited to see Natsu and the others again. 7 years will make a huge difference in how they look, act, and fight likely. The dragon slayers will all be more formidable and along with the others that black dragon will go down in their next encounter.

Whilst reading this manga i must have been sat there for at least 5 minutes staring at the words, "The surrounding waters were searched and investigated for half a year afterwards... but no survivors were found." thinking... wtf did they just kill everyone off??!!?!?!

only to read the manga again and notice the "fairy" as she starts praying,
now this is just a theory of mine, but i think the "fairy" might have teleported the island to another location... might be how theyve kept the island secret for along time until recently...

maybe the island got teleported to another location and because the guild members cant get off the island due to no transport that may be why that no one has seen them for 7 years....

Ok heres my wierd ass prediction..........the reason natsu and gajeel couldn't pass that one barrier.....their is a place where i think fairies and dragons co-exist sorta....time acts different their it felt like around 8 years for natsu but it was really 75 years...time is relevant my ass .....i think they were sent their for like 4 weeks to recover:shrug: i don't know just spitballing

Personally, I think that the next chapter will feature Macao and Bisca and Azleck and all those who didn't go to Tenrou Island discussing something about the guild and assuming they're all dead except for Romeo who believes they're still alive (which they better be or Mashima will suffer a slow and painful death) remember he idolizes Natsu since the Macao arc, and just look at his clothes, same as Natsu!

Either that or it's Zeref and Ultear's son :P

Ok this is my theory i totally agree that the possibility that they where teleported either by fried or the girl at the end, but the reason for them not coming out for 7 years not being because they are dead but because they are training. i believe that they believe that they are being targeted by someone... like the NEW Council ... so they choose to hide and train so that no one else is put in danger.... it will be so bad ass to see them all grown up

I just thought of something. Everybody is screaming timeskip. But what if they were "just" send forward in time, and that the current group is having an adventure 7 years into the future. It is a magical world afterall. At the end they could be send back right before the dragon attack or something.

So instead of timeskip -> Timetravel !

Nope, it was Romeo at the end of the chapter, you can tell by the hair and remembering how he admired/looked up to Natsu after Natsu had rescued his father so it was only natural that he would try and keep Natsu's image alive

This is just a wild guess but im thinking maybe that kid is Zeref and he meets natsu and becomes friends with him then something happens that makes him get sent back really far in time and thats why the zeref in the past chapters knows who natsu is, and if he forgot everyone else or whatever because of the time that passed but still remembered natsu because of his kindness or something he did. or the fact that he went so far back in time that he gained the original magic that hades talked about and he lost his memories like how jellal lost his memories from nirvana yet still remembered erza. and another theory could be that the fairy tail members are the ones that get sent back in time and thats how zeref knows natsu, and that kid really is just Romeo. oh well i guess we'll find out soon enough.

If it is a timetravel, then it's a completely new arc that should focus on them. However, it's not possible for Hiro to have all those members participate in the new arc (just realised the point of having so many chars in Tenrou Island arc was this moment).
I feel it's a timeskip. They have been training to:
- Defeat Acnowlogia/Acnologia w/e
- Defeat Zeref propably
- Hide from the Council

Though 7years is a big timeskip... They'll be mid-20s, early 30s. Hope they haven't matured a lot, as personality is concerned.

Ooo! My second post! Hello all!

Anyway to the matter at hand. There are some things if find interesting.

I think the girl might be the first fairy tail leader. I don't remember them saying that the leader was a he.

Second did anyone find it weird that the moment they set foot on the island they said they could feel magic power. When the mages die the magic should disappear. Marakov said it's the island where the first leader "Sleeps". If the girl is the leader the dragon must have woken her up.

Thirdly, I know people are saying that the girl transported them, which may be true but everyone is forgetting Levy. She is extremely smart, almost encyclopedic knowledge, she said before the blast there are spells that don't need incantations and to pour power into freed. I think either the girl transported the whole island or it was Levy.

I say the whole island was taken because for some reason if something happens to the tree they lose their magic powers. I personally don't see why. If they had the powers before joining the guild, why are they left powerless if anything that happens to the island tree. It's kinda stupid to join a guild if that's the case. The Fairy Tail branding is a detriment instead of a help.

The black dragon is probably one of two dragons that are the bosses of the others. It is probably the one who called the other dragons back to the land in which igneel and the other two dragons are. Since the Black Dragon is supposed to be Death, they might have another dragon that means Life.

Lastly, what the hell is the point of Dragonslayers if they can't slay dragons?! Did Igneel and the other dragons only teach them to slay so they could turn on them or any dragon? They should have been able to beat the black dragon. It's cool to see who took Gildartz on and won. Speaking of which why didn't he step in and help fight? He is the only one to walk away from the beast alive besides Zeref.

Oh yeah! I forgot. hehehe. Some are commenting on the idea of killing of the main characters as being impossible because it would make the readers mad. To that I say so! Readers forget that even though they are making these books for you to buy, they are foremost the creator's story. They can do what ever they want to do. Naming the book fairy tail was good because it is not tied to a specific character and even if it did have a main character they can change it at any time. I forget the name of the manga it was but at least one of the main characters died of each book. It didn't make the book any less interesting. Remember they kept killing off Goku in Dragonball. So if they are dead, it's not the end. Either enjoy or move on. I'll still keep watching.

Time travel is an interesting idea, but if they only time traveled they'd still be too weak to defeat Acnologia and Zeref so the time skip seems more appropriate.

Maybe Makarov will teach Natsu and Gajeel Titan Magic so they can get huge and then use their dragon slayer abilities.

Random facts: In the Latin language the suffix -is, is common on many female adjectives [female suffixes -> a (as in pulchra) and -is (as in celeris)]
Not that the name is of latin origin but could be, since many use latin suffixes to make characters have cool names, but don't even know the language.
