I think it's 6.8 or 9 billions more specifically, either way the limit is also dependant on how we live, there are big differences between countries statistically.

6.9 to be exact. Also, we still have resources in the world to provide a balanced diet to every person in the world up to this point. This will mean that there will be less space to share within ourselves, like 1.8 acres if you wanted to own land. Also, the great majority in India(having the highest population in the world) is under the age of 15. This means we will continue to drastically grow. This is all bad since we are at the borderline of good and bad

I think I saw an interview where the only way to solve the over population of the earth is war or a very bad epidemic .this will increase the death rate and solve the problem

War only leads to destruction, it'd have to be a very 'nature friendly' war to be any efficient, it's no good way to go about.

I hope this is a good incentive for governments to put more money into the space program. Let's colonize Mars and make it our biznatch already!

Or maybe we can live in a big bubble under the sea like sealab 2021! Tons of space there! lol.

Wouldn't helping poverty stricken sections of their country just make those people survive and breed?

And if I may say...I believe the US should cut back significantly on welfare programs because they are not needed and make people dependent on government support.

I remember back in the day when the earth only had 6 billion people on it ...

The solution is relatively simple: if every one woman of child baring age only had one child for their entire lives there wouldn't be a population problem.

Not only that but then every one in the world would become a great deal enriched, monetarily & in land ownership, since inheritance and charity would go through the roof by way of the wills of the baby boomer generation along with those who are older than that.

Actually education slows breading down - the more educated a woman is the less children she has - it's simple statistics.

If we take away peoples financial aid completely then there will be hundreds of millions of starving people in the streets.
