Ok, now ET madara said he "Awakened" (not transplanted like tobi) the rinnengan shortly b4 his death, now we know to awaken the MS u have to kill a very close friend/family, to awaken the EMS u have to literally take someone elses eye and implant them into ur own, now how do u awaken the Rinnengan? any ideas?

I Had the same idea, but who could b powerful enough to put madara on the verge of death, i mean Hashirama clearly couldn't do it.

you dont need the senju blood. the Rinnengan is in the uchiha blood line ever since the elder son of the sage inheritied the sage's eyes. To use the sage's ability to create, you would need both uchiha dna and senju dna.

i am guessing that the Rinnengan is the higher stage of the sharingan and the reason why no one ever realized it is because no ever achieved it after the elder son and after generations and generations the uchiha clan members had forgotten how to unlock it and only thought that the ms was the final stage in sharingan

best one i heard so far..and it is true that the uchiha came form the older son (eyes) but i guess after so many generations the rinnengans form and shape changed. but i do believe the ET madara is the only one after the sages older son to unlock the rinnengan.

issure with this thoery the older son never got the rinnegan did he.

Madara surived the battle with hasihrama so it clearly wasnt at thos point in time.

Madara died at some point after he took hasihrama dna. cant say what the situation was before madara died.
