arg. time to sleep. so last thing. have you tasted rasfpamchal (random word)? do you like it or hate it? can you go your entire life without knowing if you liked it or hated it? you have no basis to answer that question. same thing to something whose existence is taken away before it can know consciences.
had i never existed i would never had known i could exist, or what i missed or did not miss.

Because I was the same member who created the old thread and since it's against the rules to bump an old thread, I just made a new one

so..if it is then... is it justifiable to kill these fetuses because they are unconscious or because they cannot decide on their own?

This is a different situation, because it does not involve another human housing another.

Unfortunately, just like the death penalty, this matter is a moral one only. So as much as you debate, you probably will not change anothers mind. Going by something that can be argued in a court of law, or individual rights, I don't believe outlawing abortion will ever happen. It violates too many people, and can go wrong in too many situations.

However, I stand firm on pro-choice.

No lol you totally misunderstood. What I mean is, when you have unprotected sex consensually you have to be aware of the risks of pregnancy and be responsible for these risks.

However, since Rape is non-consensual, the mother never wanted to have a baby, or have sex in the first place. Therefore an unfair responsibility is placed on her. Here's where the morality issue of abortion gets sketchy for me.

    Re: Pro-life or Pro-choice? Abortion O_O

Oh wow this is quite a controversial topic.

I don't have a complete agreement with either option and wish there was a mid-point. I believe that to abort an unborn does count as killing however sometimes it has to be looked at on a case by case basis. There was girl at my high school who managed to get pregnant at age 15. It was rumored that she had already opted to have an abortion for an early pregnancy but I can't validate this so I'll ignore it. She was a terrible mother to her child in that she smoked and drank heavily throughout her pregnancy. While I don't believe that abortions should be looked at as the same as contraceptive means, this girl now has a child who is reliant on her despite her not having the most basic high school qualifications and has to rely on her own parents for help. If anything I believe that those who desire abortions should instead put more thought into adoption.

My purpose of debating is not to persuade anyone but rather to understand each other's point of view of the matters at hand. So I respect your decision on standing your ground

Dont take it like I was accusing you of trying to change my opinion, because I didn't mean it like that.

But yea, its the mother choice. That is all. No one else matters, because it is the mother who will house the fetus, or choose to abort it. Her choice. It isn't any more complicated than that.
