i know its his destiny to beat pain and maadara but i dont think he can do it right now especially without the kyuubi. Naruto after facing off with oro vowed not to use the kyuubi anymore and i think to make him realize he needs the kyuubi maybe he will loose to pain

no it cant , its avoidable. All pain needs to do is push naruto away with his gravity control or put naruto in a genjustu. Theyre many ways to avoid the attack unlike kirin or amaterasu

now that naruto is in sage mode, will the damage to his arm be there or will the sage mode strenght protect him? if it does protect him he should be able to use the RS atleast 6 times b'cuz 1/3 the chakra used for that technique comes from natural energy outside him. besides his taijutsu also get a boost in sage mde so there might be a helpful increase in speed

You're all talking without even knowing what their TRUE powers are. If we had all the ability of the 2 then there would be no problem, but we just don't know what naruto's been doing and we just don't know the real power of the rinnegan. Let's face it, I call it a 50/50 chance battle. Not only because we don't know their power, but also of the stake there is. On one side Konoha's destruction if he fails, and on the other the ''leader'' (for it's member) of akatsuki taken down. From that point on Kishi can surprise us with both side, that's a good situation he's put himself in...
