A while back I saw a couple of episodes and I liked it, but I just can't stomach the art style. It reminds me of Lupin the third. Yuck.

And what's wrong with Lupin the Third? It was an awesome anime

i was on the same boat saying Op was not great after only seeing few episodes. But if u watch more trust me it gets better and u will be hooked. don't judge to fast and the animation gets better as well for all those complaining it was in 1997 when it started so it was not as great back then. i hold on par with naruto though but that is my opinion. But i do kno most ppl tend to enjoy it so don't just judge b4 actually getting to know the series. naruto's first 20 episodes or bleach's were not spectacular either but we have to wait a lil bit to really get to the most important parts of the series.

Don't get me wrong I could appreciate it and nor do I think it is crap but I can't stand how it looks. For example Trigun was one of my favorite animes, but if it looked like the Simpsons I wouldn't have watched more than 2 episodes.

that is right not many anime start of amazing especially the beginning of action animes were they have to introduce the characters and have to just give a basic understanding of the series but the enemies and true plot are revealed much later or bit by bit that is the part that usually gets us hooked. bleach was especially terrible in the beginning but when soul society arc came in it got amazing but now it sucks i have to admit.

i hold it on par with naruto but here are my reasons
1. good humor better than naruto's
2.better character development and not repetitive as you see with naruto, sasuke and sakura and more variety not solely focused on one character
3. interesting plot if you get to the good arcs you will see why my words do no justice to it(there are bad ones like any other manga or anime though
4. there is a reason why it is outselling naruto now so keep that in mind also not necessarily saying that is a reason you should read it but just saying many ppl like it.

Reasons why I watch/read these four manga/anime:

Naruto: A ninja, master of trickery and experts in stealth. Naruto-ninjas are f*cking gods, so there not really ninjas to begin with. Eh, I loved it when I was a kid but now the story is getting bland, I'm just in it because I don't stop reading a story till I see the ending (Twilight is the exception to that rule though -_-)

Bleach: It's a bit kind of a rip-off of YuYu Hakusho, since both deal with supernatural crap, still I am a sword fanatic and when I heard Bleach had a lot of swords, I had an eyegasm the first time I read/watch it. But like Naruto, it's also getting boring (kill off the damn xcution I'm bored with them already). They could have ended it with Aizen but noooo.

Fairy Tail: I had to find something else to read ever since Naruto and Bleach got so effed up. Fairy Tail came to the rescue. It's funny, fight scenes are awesome and the storyline is great, Only problem is: if I here Natsu say that I'm going to beat you guys with the power of my friends/guild, I'm going to shoot myself. -__-. And what's the deal with the seven year gap? What the hell did that do? That was totally uncalled for.

And finally One Piece:
Really? Do I have to give a reason? Because they're pirates, damnit! PIRATES. Give me another pirate anime/manga which is as awesome as OP and don't give me space pirate bullsh*it, that doesn't count. I loved the story and although I've just started, OP has never bored me. It just gets better and better

Only thing boring bout naruto is the filler, the story is on point. keeps getting better and better for me as the story goes on. only thingk i belive op has over naruto is that it tries to develop all characters and not just the main ones. but that's it

I coudln't make it pass the first episode of fairy tail

bleach started off good , got sucky for a bit, got exciting when grimm jow fought ichigo, then boring then back intersting when ichi fought ulq, interesting from there until aizen died, now the new arc sucks baby monkey balls.


OP yes it does take a while to get into it is funny if you read the manga, and it dosnet really get interesting until at the end of sky island and the then cp9 from there on you should be hooked

One Piece is about a boy who ate a Rubber Rubber Fruit and dreams of becoming the Pirate King. Naruto is about an outcast who has the Kyuubi sealed inside of him, but wants to be Hokage.

After their respective timeskips:

One Piece is about a boy who trained himself for 2 years to protect all that he loves. Of course, he still wants to be Pirate King, but with all the strong enemies he has to face, he has matured a bit for himself and his crew. Naruto is about a self-proclaimed messiah who wants to save a guy who doesn't consider Naruto as a friend. He claims he wants to protect everyone, yet he comes off as a jerk due to his newfound power. He thinks he can just ignore his friends' feelings of affection for him, and thinks that he can end this war on his own.
