did u guys miss one obvious thing? his SPEED!!! he was very very far from tsunade and the anbu so close to tsunade didnt even have time to react. and naruto was there in a flash and even fromed a rasengan!!! that makes one thing clear, he cud have made rasengan without kage bunshin. this fastness also explains why pain with a shared vision cudnt even react to naruto's assault. so all this boiled down to this: its possible he has learned his father's SHONSHIN NO JUTSU (body flicker) or is it just sage mode speed???

It could be....but I really think Pein was just gathering information about Naruto with that attack....he didn't seem fazed by Naruto's attack at all. But then again, he always looks like that...ha!

I dont know neither if he used the Rasengan or not but can kinda of see a circular wave of energy around Naruto, like a shockwave or something, so he might have used the Rasengan.

In my opinion the damage occurs only when he hits the enemy with the Jutsu. This is because There was no damage when he actually creates it. He has done it many times without any harmful effects ( 3 times during Kakuzu fight). When he hits the enemy with the jutsu, during the impact, his arm also gets caught up in the blast and gets damaged.

So technically if he can throw it, i guess there should be no harm ! What do u think ?

I think Naruto will kick butt for awhile, but then pain will turn up the heart and it'll get really serious. Something is going to stop the fight early.
