1. Why would Kishi show us pics of Kakashi's dead body in this manga, if not to show us that he wasn't destroyed by the explosion, and that there's still hope for him?

2. Why would the slug protect Kakashi's body from the explosion if he was dead?

1.Because kakashi wants to rub salt into our huge wounds

2.Because tsunade is pathetic and wants to save him despite it being futile.

Logic wise, youre correct, but kishis storyline is always more emotionally driven than logically driven

a weapon doesn't give u the nickname just like that..
+ his father gave the saber to kakashi long time ago but was still called konoha's white fang..
it's about how he looks like to get that nickname..
kakashi is the son of konoha's white fang and will now inherrit that from his father and continue as the new white fang i think

as a sidenote:

kakashi actually has LOTS of chakra, but not that much stamina. His sharingan was draining away most of his chakra and kakashi was using high ranked jutsus that took a lot of chakra..If kakashi will now lose his sharingan, his chakra won't get low that fast and proberly will be able to fight longer etc..
only thing is that he might won't be able to use chidori.

kakashi will survive and there's no possibility in loosing the sharingan, it's his signature style... the copy ninja without the ability to copy anymore? never!
kishi wouldn't do something like that, kakashi is one of the most popular characters so death is no possibility... it would be something like recovering over 20 chapters or something like that... but we'll se kakashi in some real asskicking fight in the future! =) (i hope so :P)

I dont understand why kakashi using his mangekyou and running low on chakra suddenly means he loses his sharingan eye?

He has been worn out before (not quite as bad) and never once did anything ever get mentioned about how its taxxing on the sharingan.

The sharingan is just an eye, having the body run low on chakra does not suddenly take that sharingan away.

Yep, I was happy to see this as well. But damn Kakashi looked ****ED UP lol. Hope he isn't bed ridden for too long.

I'm glad that Kakashi got a scene in the manga (I kept examining it to see something... anything like a hint...)

Well apparently him living is very likely since Choji's next to him and a slug is on top of him too... but he looks slightly demolished... half dead if you know what I mean...

If he dies now, then Masashi is a heartless person giving everyone hope!

yh i examed it for some type of hint aswell and he did look half dead or more

yh but kakashi was already on the brink of death b4 pain destroyed kanhoa because he used all of his chakra and stanima for the MS 2 save choji

and i really want him 2 live but it might not b possible

btw whos Masashi ??
