Maybe this has been pointed out already, but now konoha is...well...gone, does danzou really want to rule it now?
He doesnt seem the "rebuild with hope" type of person.

Its like a bully who wants your toy (bully is danzou), and someone else breaks it (pain) so you give the broken toy to the bully, and he obviously doesnt want it.

I think its hilarious.

The more ironic part is if he simply allowed root anbu and himself to fight pain they may have been able to avoid total destruction, silly old fool

Plus, where exactly is ANBU root's lair located, it's undergroung right? Wouldn't Pain's Hiroshima technique bury them all alive? lmao :D

Not only that i dont think he has the guts(and nuts!) to fight naruto with sage mode.. theres no konoha ! ****ed up ^_^

u know i thught of something.. maybe naruto wont be able to have sex bcus he's sperm will be full of little evil foxes?

No, the fox just gives him a great amount of chakra, so he needn't worry about Sai telling him his .... is small.

Honestly, right now I don't give a damn about Danzou and the Root. I just wanna see Naruto and Pain.

If I was taking a guess, it would be Naruto manages to be totally awesome against Pain. Pain's attacks prior to Naruto's arrival have weakened him to the point that he might not be strong enough to capture Naruto.

I believe at some point in the manga was mentioned that was easier to kill than to capture. To capture Naruto will require more skills and power than that required to kill him. Pain needs him alive. I believe as soon as Pain realizes that Naruto skills and power are well beyond his expectations, he will retreat for a break and create new plan. Naruto will try going after him, leaving the village. That is when Danzo will try to make his move, but it fails thanks to Sai and Yamato. However, other unexpected visitors may arrive at the villige as this happens and will create further damage before it gets better.

I don't think Danzo cares at all about the condition of the village as long as it makes him fill that it is advantegeous towards him as he makes his move. As a manner of fact, he may see this as the best opportunity, not only because he may believe that his biggest rivals are no match for him at this time. But also because he may think that it is also an opportunity to make people believe that if he was the Hokage that this destruction would have never happen, allowing himself to be percieved as the stronger leader.

I also believe that this dream is only on his head and he will never get too far anyhow, will not even get a taste. The only thing he will taste is a big a?? wooping.

If you all look at Manga 424, page 3, you can see that Danzo is willing to pay the required price for him to become Hokage. He clearly understand it and will follow through once the chance presents itself. He does not care about the destruction or amount of casualties/death.

There is no total destruction. The people make the village and plenty of them still alive. They just have to spend plenty of time to rebulid Konoha. Pride alone will make that happen. They have done it before, they will do it again.

You are correct and I am with you on this one. I did not mean it that way at all. If you read what I have written so far already in this thread, you could probably understand where I am coming from.

I don't believe Danzo will cancel his plans of becoming Hokage because Konoha's current condition and I believe his plan will quikly come to an end thanks to Yamato and Sai.

However, I believe that whatever is left of Konoha, will be rebuild by the people left alive.

yeah, but danzou will doubtfully braindwash the ninjas into thinking it was tsunades fault, most of them love tsunade and she saved pretty much every ninja from that explosion, worse comes to worse danzou is a prick and tsunade beats him to a pulp, she can take him, and so can naruto.

I just think danzou is screwed entirely, unless he has other plans deeper than merely becoming hokage
