Our county is going to violate the 4th Amendment: "Sorry about bad grammer"



Last week the senate passed a bill that states, "if you're considered a terrorist and (this is based off of speculation) you can be detained (no trial)". The bill will nullify the 4th Amendment of the Constitution. Only 7 senators voted against the bill. Each side of the debate only had one-half an hour to relay their opinions on the bill, each side had multiple speakers. Detaining Americans with out a trial is non-American. The counter argument stated that " if we don't pass this bill then we want bad people free to kill Americans" ?!?!? Also "we are facing an enemy that will do what ever possible to destroy our way of life".... Wouldn't this bill do that for them??

Obama stated June 19, 2007 that " We are not a country that runs prisons that locks citizens away with out even telling them why they are there, or what they are charged with" and "We are not a nation that locks people up without charging them". Obama is going to veto the bill.

If you do get detained under this bill, you will have one chance, once a year to prove you're innocent. This bill is to be in effect until "war on terror is over". Till war on terror is over!!! Really, war on terror will never be over.

Laws that characterize a person of possible terrorism!



1: Someone who is missing fingers on their hands.

2: Someone who has guns.

3: Someone who has weatherproof ammo.

4: Someone who has seven days worth of food in their home.

5: A person who was a part of or substantially supported Al-Queda, the Taliban, or associated forces.



This bill will make it possible to Detain our own President!



If this bill get's passed all the way through... then the broad spectrum of possible arrest will make every person in America a possible threat.

I don't see the big deal laws like this will probably never be used against me or you they are put in place so that law enforcement can legally detain actual threats instead of being forced to let them back on the streets.
I don't know everything about the bill passed nor do I care much but the reasons they gave for being a possible terrorist seem a bit far off. Having guns that's basically everybody in America having lots of food once again everybody in America and whats with the finger thing.
I don't know if I'm wrong or not about this but who knows stranger things have happened and people get power hungry by abusing authority.

Not even reason #5 makes sense. How do you define support and what does this action include? For example, arguing about how the VIPR and TSA methods are an an extreme infringement on the rights of U.S. citizens could be classified as support in this case.
