Last week the senate passed a bill that states, "if you're considered a terrorist and (this is based off of speculation) you can be detained (no trial)". The bill will nullify the 4th Amendment of the Constitution. Only 7 senators voted against the bill. Each side of the debate only had one-half an hour to relay their opinions on the bill, each side had multiple speakers. Detaining Americans with out a trial is non-American. The counter argument stated that " if we don't pass this bill then we want bad people free to kill Americans" ?!?!? Also "we are facing an enemy that will do what ever possible to destroy our way of life".... Wouldn't this bill do that for them??

Obama stated June 19, 2007 that " We are not a country that runs prisons that locks citizens away with out even telling them why they are there, or what they are charged with" and "We are not a nation that locks people up without charging them". Obama is going to veto the bill.

If you do get detained under this bill, you will have one chance, once a year to prove you're innocent. This bill is to be in effect until "war on terror is over". Till war on terror is over!!! Really, war on terror will never be over.

1: Someone who is missing fingers on their hands.

Well actually Russia just had an election and their people are rioting about the rigged results, so by your definition they cannot be a superpower. The point is that they are a superpower, but they just have a blatantly corrupt governmnet. As for China, they may be on the way up, but they have a HUGE problem with overinflating their GDP, soon 2/3 of their population will be over the age of 65, and they currently live off of cheap labor. Those things will blow up in their faces eventually. As for Israel, they really cannot be considered a superpower due to their small population size.

Untill that day comes, you can't say that USA is comparable to Nazi Germany. Also, do you think Christians, Homosexuals, Atheists etc can live their lifes as they please in Islamic countries?
