Is it Slam America Week?
Has the 1st week of December become "SLAM AMERICA WEEK?" for NB or something?
I understand that USA has some Laws that are disagreeable and the mentality of Americans shown in the Media gives America a bad look, but we already have Americans on NB bashing America.
So why is it that NB members from other countries think its okay to slam America?
I understand the need for a foreigners opinion and all that.
I can't remember 1 American member on here talk shit about another country.
I can remember countless times where NB members from other countries talk shit about America.
*I don't have a problem with that, but it seems some members(non-American) take it upon themselves to start the hate spread.
EDIT: TRY AND STAY LEVEL HEADED WHEN REPLYING, THIS IS NOT THE NARUTO SECTION!

Re: Is it Slam America Week?
They're mad that we took initiative to start another country according to our beliefs, whereas they just sit around in the muck.
P.S. - They are jealous.

Can't say I disagree.
I've always been told stuff like America is out of touch with the world and ignorant to global issues and that's why the rest of the world dislikes us, but the more and more I see people's opinions the more I'm starting to believe people are just misinformed and looking for excuses to bash America.

Re: Is it Slam America Week?
I'm not jealous. I do not want our country bancrupt?
The one thing i truly hate about Americans is that most of them consider US & A the most superiour counrty in the world. It's not "god save the world" it's "god save America". Americans selfish attitude disturbs me.
Ok and one more thing. My sis is in the US now, she thought it was really awesome, Americans are very open in the social life. That is a thing i miss in my country.

Re: Is it Slam America Week?
People judge every citizen of America based on the famous ones. I don't like that, but I really don't care. If people judge a book on a few sentences, then they aren't smart enough to finish it.
But I really don't care. I make fun of America myself, I'm an American but I do for fun, not to degrade and say I'm better than it.

You can't deny that in terms of world politics since WWII the US has been the most influential country along with Russia. So when you say we think we're superior, it depends in which way. There are some ways in which the US really is at the top of the world, but of course there are other ways we're really lagging behind.
And you seem to be considering pride in country to be selfish, which I disagree. Whenever a disaster happens the US is always the top or near the top in turns of relief in both money and man power. So what exactly makes you think of us as selfish?

Re: Is it Slam America Week?
It's not our country itself, it's the people who run around with the attitude that America is superior to everyone else. This is clearly not true, there is no "best" country in the world; every country has its problems. Our main problem is some of our people's attitudes of superiority

Talk to the EU about bankrupt countries. Dont give me crap that countries arent all, "We are the best." I could care less about other countries. They are a large factor in the problem of where we are right now in our situation.

As an American I can relate to that.
I don't like how some of that ignorance has come onto NB though

Pretty Much.
See what I'm talking about, we already have Americans discussing our Country's flaws. We don't need you guys to tell us on NB about America's Flaws.

You know that the US first didn't even want to help Europe. In WW2 US was selfish enough to sacrifise the UK and France, etc. In the beginning The US just wanted to prepare their "own" land. But thankfully Chuchill made US reconsider..

Re: Is it Slam America Week?
Americans are one of the nicest people I know but They have their problems too my main problem with america is that people are lazy when it comes to their own politics I've met people (a lot) that don't know they're mayor or governor talk less of the number of people in the senate. The reason why I feel people from America don't bash other countries (with the exception of Arabic ones) that much is because when we do it feeds into the mentality that we think that were better than them in every way but people still do any ways. If I were to start bashing every country for their problems I would get a lot of hate, but when people bash America they get away with it because we don't want to feed in to the stereotypes people already have about us.

So because 70 years ago we didn't want to get involved in a world war when struggling to get out of a great depression we're considered selfish today?

Plz do not say we were "selfish." When George Washington left the presidency, he warned us never to involve ourselves in other countries problems, especially Europe's. Before December 1941, the US was a country that prefered isolationism, and only wanted to declare war if we were attacked first. Obviously we've done a complete 360 in that policy (lets not discuss that) but do not call those Americans "selfish"

For your information, I can say with 99% certainty that NO ONE ON NB was alive during that time.
So that doesn't apply to us Americans on NB.
