Sai was shown to be pretty strong when he was first introduced, but he is ANBU and his specialty is really reconnaissance. He has some fighting skill of course, but his ink animals can't last that long when facing direct damage and against those 3 I don't think he would be much help.

At first glance youd go with team gaara, but if you decide to look into it more, youd realise that team kankuro actually have a great chance of winning.

Ignoring the obvious that team gaara is the stronger team, but team kankuro have the advantage in numbers.

Now during the chunnin exams, kankuro has hinted several times that he has studied gaara's sand greatly and know his weaknesses, this could prove vital in defeating him. The key to victory for team 2 is kankuro. I believe with his information, along with sai who is also a long range fighter can cause an upset.

The two people who impressed me the most during the chunnin exams was neji and shino. In this case ill let him evade neji and allow neji to face kiba and choji instead.

Shino and lee should be interesting. Actually give the edge to shino

Gaara would do the same thing he did at the chunin exams to Lee but this time it would be done to Kiba and Akamaru.

Choji in butterfly mode and expension jutsu was able to hold back the gedo mazo.. just saying, he'll easily break through gaara sand and crush them. While Sai can paint birds to attack from the sky and pierce their defense. Kankuro is an excellent strategist he could come up with a good plan while Kiba is fighting on the front line. Shino would just use his bugs to surprise them and suck their chakra.
Team Gaara would get out numbered, they won't handle this. Team Shino got the advantage of the number and would do excellent teamwork all together.
