As you have been Hidden, I have been watching. A member of Zaigou will always have another watching their back. In this case I am watching for unwanted fighters for Mathias's battle. As for Sharingan, It is able to see Chakra sources through objects that don't have chakra running through them (Example: Hidden Mist Jutsu has a constant flow of chakra running through it to keep it intact, because of this, the Sharingan see's the mist as a Chakra cloud, making it so it is still unable to see through it. But, if it's a natural mist with no Chakra, The Sharingan will be able to see anything with chakra, hidden within the mist.) so If you are underground, Behind a tree or in a bush. I can see your illuminating chakra.

Nah, Zero's answer is probably closer to the right answer. And if his eye is closed, what would be the purpose of the headband over his eye? O_o I could have sworn that only the Byakugan can see through things though...

He covers his eye so he doesn't use it and waste chakra. So yeah most likely he can't see through it even if his eye lid is closed. Or else he would still be wasting chakra
