Strongest Akatsuki??

In response to the relative popularity of my "Weakest Akatsuki??" thread, I've decided to make a Strongest Akatsuki thread

Vote for whom you think is the strongest Akatsuki!! ^_^

most ppl will say madara because he's the most mysterious. i think pein is the strongest cuz he has the strongest eye technique that makes sharingan look like nothing. even though he "takes orders" from madara, i think the fact that pein has never lost a fight plus he has the ability to take out an entire village by himself is pretty crazy. madara and itachi had to work together just to take out the uchiha clan, which is only part of a village.

It doesn't matter who has the strongest eye technique, it just matters how they use it.

And Itachi, when he was about 13, was only aided by Madara. Madara obviously could have taken care of the Uchihas by himself.

i dont know... madara was scared little bit from itachi but now itachi is dead which means pain or madara i dont see any stronger then them....if pain beats naruto now then its probably pain strongest if not then madara....

i say itachi because of the fear that madara had of him, and because itachi and kisame were charged wit capturing the nine-tails when we first learned of akatsuki, the most powerful of akatsuki would b tasked with capturing kyuubi, and bcause itachi said it himself that madara was a shell of his former self

Pain imo. Madara is clearly strong too, but I get the feeling he needs something to get to 100%. Right now Pain is the strongest, Sasori or Kakuzu would get my vote for numero 3.

Fo sho, 2v1 and he was fighting a mirror of Tsunade (that came prepared with antidotes) + a puppet master that knew most of his secrets.

Had it been any other Konoha ninja I think the outcome would have been very different.

you've got that right, he just fought against the wrong oponents.. thats the problem, and it was a 2 vs 1.. it was a great fight, if it was kakashi or other ninja, it would just be killed with the exceptio of lee because of his speed, even so he dont know how to kill sasori and would be exausted and die..

itachi gets my vote just by the fact madara was scared to fight itachi and madara is really pulling the strings to akatsuki giving pein orders and so on. i agree with some 1s post saying i think he needs something to get him back to 100% power wise.

itachi ultimate defense and ofense aswell. i dont want to see any posts saying but he lost to sasuke either cause it was obvious he lost to him on purpose.
