Looks: Zuko's most prominent feature is a large burn with his left eye at the center. The skin closest to his eye is dark red, and this eye seems slightly smaller than his other eye, though this in no way affects his vision. The skin further away from his eye is a lighter red. Both of his eyes are golden. He has long, dark brown hair, which he allows to hang loosely around his face. He is of a muscular build and like most Uchiha, is fair skinned.

Zuko is usually seen wearing a short sleeve red shirt, with a sleeveless dark red robe over this. Both robes are very light weight and don't restrict Zuko's movements in the slightest. He wears loose pants of a similar color to his shirt, and also wears a pear of dark red boots. He is always seen with a pair of dual Dao blades, which he keeps strapped to his back.

Personality: Zuko is, on the whole, very serious for his age. Forced to mature at a young age, he often struggles to joke around with others, and when he tries, the result is often very awkward. He holds honor above all else, and has learned that honor is something you must earn yourself, not something another can give to you. Despite his maturing, he is still often very short tempered.

Zuko is very good at deciphering what others are feeling and thinking, and is also adept in choosing the correct way to treat or react to them in order to either console them, or manipulate them. He is every compassionate and understanding when dealing with people, especially about the pasts of others. Because of this, Zuko is very trusted by his friends.

Specialty: Katon: Like all members of the Uchiha Clan, Zuko has a natural affinity towards the fire element. In addition to his natural ability, Zuko worked relentlessly to master the element, and as a result, he is able to perform its jutsu with one hand seal.
Kea Summoning: Having signed the Kea Contract, Inchato is able to summon this bird. Inchato has spent time getting to know each Kea of the contract, and as a result, has built a bond of trust with each of them, and thus they all follow his commands in battle.
Kenjutsu: In addition to his fire training, Zuko also honed his skill with a blade. He prefers to fight using a pair of matching scimitars. As a result of his training, Zuko has gained heightened instinctual reflexes.

History: Zuko was born into the family of the leader of the Uchiha Clan. He was the first born of the family, and was loved by his family and clan the moment he came into the world. When Zuko turned two, his family had another child, a baby girl named Azula.

As they grew up, Zuko often found himself second best to Azula, despite his being older. It seemed to him that she was preferred by their father, and was just better than Zuko in every way. Despite her young age, they were enrolled into the Konoha Ninja Academy at the same time. Predictably, Azula surpassed Zuko in every aspect of the academy. During this time, Azula began to tease and torment Zuko for his shortcomings, which began to infuriate him and planted the seeds of his future rage.

Within two years of being in the academy, it seemed that Azula had it all, while Zuko had nothing. She had already begun learning the more advanced fire style techniques from the clan, and he awakened her Sharingan at the age of 10, while Zuko hadn't even proven able to learn the basic fireball technique, and despite being two years older than Azula, still hadn't unlocked his Sharingan. When they day finally came to leave the academy, there was much talk on whether or not Zuko would actually prove able to graduate. In the end, the influence and prominence of the Uchiha Clan allowed Zuko to pass and become a genin.

Zuko was assigned to the team of a jounin whom cared little for the three genin who were his responsibility. Of course, the early missions of catching lost cats proved easy enough, but after a few months, it was decided that the team should have its first real challenge. The team was sent to a village on the outskirts of the Land of Fire to protect it from a few minor bandit attacks.

And so, the team set off to the village, and upon arriving, they talked to the small and feeble militia of the village who were trying their best to stop the bandits from harassing the village each chance they got. The jounin responsible for the team quickly worked out a plan with the captain of the militia. The plan was to use the militia as bait and then have the team of ninja swoop in and take care of the bandits.

The plan should have worked, but upon seeing the number of bandits approaching the Jounin hesitated. He decided that he didn't want to fight this many people in a close space, saying that it would be too risky for him. He then ordered the genin to stay put as they watched the militia hopelessly get beat to a pulp. Although Zuko obeyed his orders, he was infuriated. The jounin just let these men, whom were just trying to defend their families and home, get beaten to a pulp and had done nothing about it. The team then followed the bandits outside the village and defeated them.

On the way back to Konoha, Zuko openly critiscized his leader, calling him a traitor and a coward. Rather than react, the Jounin simply ignored Zuko and proceeded back to the village. Here, the Jounin told both the Hokage and Zuko's father of his insubordination. Although the Hokage didn't deign to take action, Zuko's father was infuriated. Saying that he had infringed upon the honor of the Uchiha Clan, he attempted to force Zuko to leave the clan. However, Zuko tried to refuse. When he did so, his father attacked him. Zuko refused to fight back, and as a result he received a large and vicious burn across his left eye from his father's fire technique.

Humiliated, Zuko left Konoha entirely, rather than just the clan. However, he did not leave alone. Zuko's uncle, whom had always favored Zuko, went with him. Zuko and his uncle spent the next several years travelling and training. During this time, Zuko became a master of the Fire Element through his uncle's expert teachings. In addition to this, Zuko became an expert in kenjutsu as well; however, he still hadn't unlocked his Sharingan.

Zuko was not content to just set idly and train. He eventually came to focus all of his hatred and rage on the jounin whom had been responsible for his team as a genin. Zuko decided to take action against the man, but knew that he would have to hide his identity so that he didn't become an enemy of the hidden leaf village. He donned a blue mask with white markings and an all black jumpsuit which revealed no skin and infiltrated Konoha.

Zuko quickly located the house of his old teacher and sneaked inside and found the room in which the man slept. As Zuko crept up on the man and drew his blades, the man suddenly reacted and attacked Zuko. A battle quickly ensued, and it seemed as if the man would win and Zuko would die. But then, Zuko's Sharingan awakened in the midst of the battle. Using his new ability as a rallying point, Zuko quickly turned the tide and managed to defeat the man. However, Zuko let the man live. He was badly injured, but alive.

Zuko quickly escaped Konoha after the battle, and was jubilant in his victory. He hung around the village for the next few days, and sure enough, tales of a man known as "The Blue Spirit" reached his ears. The rumor said that the Blue Spirit was the a deadly ninja who is able to walk through walls and had incredible reflexes. Pleased, Zuko decided that he may as well go a bit further with his guise as the Blue Spirit.

Zuko once again donned his Blue Spirit outfit and set out after a group of rogue ninja who were travelling through the Land of Fire. He knew that the Leaf was after these ninja, and decided that he would beat them to the prize in an attempt to show off. Surely enough, Zuko located the ninja before the tracker ninja of the leaf, and was able to easily defeat them. However, unbeknownst to Zuko, he had been watched throughout this entire process by his uncle. Zuko had known that his Uncle would disapprove of his actions, and hadn't intended for him to find out.

When Zuko returned to the home in which he had been living in for the past years, his uncle told him that he knew that Zuko was the Blue Spirit. He convinced Zuko to drop his other identity.

In the following months they decided that the time was finally ripe to move back into Konoha to try and change the current leadership of the Uchiha Clan and reveal the world Zuko's new found prowess.
