*Opens an eye and sees that the students have arrived*

Ok you are here. Before we start I have some questions:

-Any experience with kenjutsu (RL and RP)?
-Have you trained in kenjutsu techniques that require chakra?
-In your own words, what do you know about samurai?

Re: [Samurai Training] Selendrile & Yagura Yondaime

-Any experience with kenjutsu (RL and RP): I've done a few taijutsu/kenjutsu battles with freeform, and have faced Zerabitu once.

-Have you trained in kenjutsu techniques that require chakra?: Possibly. I've mastered basic ken, and there was a technique where you channel Chidori Nagashi into the blade.

-In your own words, what do you know about samurai?: From my knowledge, samurai in the RW were a military force used in Japan. They were basically a police force for the nobility, and had a strict code of conduct and training. They put a lot of faith into "Bushido", and lived their lives according to that code. In the Narutoverse, Samurai are a specialized group living in the Land of Iron. They do not use ninjutsu or genjutsu, and rely solely on using techniques that involve a blade or basic taijutsu.

Re: [Samurai Training] Selendrile & Yagura Yondaime

I haven't begun anything yet so this is probably my first start with ken and yeah i do little in RL like Normal wooden sword.

Nope i am only start basic so nah i haven't mastered anything or any stuff that require chakra.

Samurai's generations begun in japan and they were soldiers who carried a sword known as "Katana" they were really skilled with but now a days those samurai barely exist. Some still exist in Japan but still those stuff were forgotten. In naruto samurai are the people and guardians who protect the land of iron and they have to watch and protect the kage meetings. The Samurais all probably begin using wooden swords but then they keep on going advanced using katanas and metal swords.

Hrm, no offense to Darui, but that is a poorly structured training. What I will do is training you and your partner in free form kenjutsu, it's basics, etc. After finishing the basics, we will train in samurai techniques. Then in the end, you are welcome to stay or leave, as I will finish Yagura's kenjutsu training techniques (the ones samurai can learn anyways).

    Agreed?

Re: [Samurai Training] Selendrile & Yagura Yondaime

Now, before we begin with the techniques, we will start with the basic:
    -direction of the sword
    -position of the body
    -one handed strikes
    -two handed strikes
-Body movement (Side stepping, Arc Stepping)
    -Defense (Parries, Blocks, and counters)
    -Taijutsu integration

Then after those, I will teach you the Basic 5 no Kamae stances, which will become very important when fighting against a Kenjutsu user.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will begin with sword direction.

Sword direction is simple, it is just the direction in which you strike the sword.

These are the basic directions: From above to below; From below to above; Left to Right; and Right to Left. When you become better, you will be able to chain from different directions and change the direction of the sword depending on the circumstances and body position (which we will talk later on).

Then there are the directional axis: X-axis, Y-axis, and diagonal.

Here is a visual that can explain you better:

By combining direction and directional axis, you have a well structured attack.
    For example:

*My sword is on my right hip. I place my left hand on the handle of the sword and swing diagonally upwards, hitting the left side of your body and carrying on to the right side.*

This is a pretty simple, though effective attack. Something that will help you and your opponent to have a better picture of your move, is if you describe what areas of the body you are hitting.

Another important factor, is the speed and force that your swing has; which is highly relative of the amount of hands you are using, stance, and direction.

Finally, deepness. This will determinate if you are only scratching a person's nose or actually cutting him in half. Remember to be highly detailed in this, as it not only put the enemy under pressure, but also explain better were your body position and distance is compared to the enemy's.

    Any questions?

Ok both of you, now do you understand the concept of sword direction, I will give you your exercises:

-One hundred horizontal strikes right to left.
-One hundred horizontal strikes left to right.
    -One hundred vertical strikes upward.
    -One hundred vertical strikes downward.
-One hundred diagonal strikes upward, right to left.
-One hundred diagonal strikes upward, left to right.
-One hundred diagonal strikes downward, right to left.
-One hundred diagonal strikes downward, left to right.

You can do this in a single post, though be as detailed as possible. Remember that speed right now isn't important, but how precise your strike are.

    * tosses one bokken to each one of you*

Get to work, when you are done, come back at me.

*Goes and sits in the ground, leaning against a tree for support*

Re: [Samurai Training] Selendrile & Yagura Yondaime

-grabs the bokken you threw at me and gets up in a straight position

-As i stand up i put the bokken in my right hand and grab also with left hand to add more strength to the sword swing-

-i then start by swinging the bokken right to left and left to right horizontally about 200 times so i get the hang of it and get used to it.-

-After swinging the bokken left right and horizontally i then grab the top of the sword grip with right hand and then i hold bottom of the grip of the sword with left hand then i start swining it up and down 200times aswell.-

-I still keep my hands on the bokken sword with my right hand still at top, and my left hand at the bottom.-

-after that i take deep breathe and try to being to strike my sword upward right to left, and then downward left to right 200times.-

-As i finish doing the excorsie above i then begin to hold my sword but instead of right hand at top its my left hand now instead.-

-I then begin to strike my swords upwards left to right, and then downwards right to left again to practice more..-

I grab the bokken and then head off a ways and begin to practice.

I position my right hand above my left hand on the hilt, and position the tip of the bokken to the right in a horizontal position. I then extend my arms rapidly around to the right, performing a right to left horizontal slash. I do this 100 times.

I position my left hand above my right hand on the hilt, and position the bokken on the left of me at a 45 degree angle from my body, the tip facing downwards. I then rapidly bring up my arms, performing an upward slash. I do this 100 times.

I position my left hand above my right hand on the hilt, and position the bokken above my head, with the tip facing backwards. I rapidly bring down both of my arms vertically, performing a downwards vertical slash. I do this 100 times.
