Sasuke has been going through a phase of losing more and more of his sanity and also loosing his intelligent demeanor. When he got his mangekyo, he overused and overestimated his own abilities. In the latest chapter we see that he is back to being the cold and calculated Sasuke, testing out his abilities little by little to gain control over them.

Yeah, he's a bit borderline crazy, but that's all that traumatic past he had etc.
You could say Itachi's words about how being powerful makes you isolated and arrogant, fits as a description, with a tinge of insanity.
