Question - was it ever stated if Madara had the rinnegan EMS combo when he fought Hashirama? I suppose he would have had to have it if he is using it as edo tensei.... That means Hashirama beat Madara at his peak. That's pretty OP badass.

I think in a way Itachi feels like he accomplished his goals and failed all at the same time! Why do I say this? Well he had hoped his actions would turn Sasuke into a savior for the leave village but instead turned him into a diabolic person, BUT it is because of Sasuke that Naruto has gotten this strong. He formed a brotherly type bond in which he viewed Sasuke as a measuring stick when it comes to strength and wanting to prove to everyone in the leaf village that he could be just as strong as an uchiha if not stronger. Cuz remember Naruto himself said had it not be for Sasuke becoming his friend, he often sees himself being in Sasuke's shoes, and that's wanting REVENGE!

NO! Madara did not activate the Rinnegan until AFTER the fight of death with Hashirama! Remember he said everyone perceived he died but he only fought 1st hokage only to steal a lil bit of his dna. And that was what allowed him to activate the rinnegan

I very much enjoyed this chapter. I'm glad that Itachi and Sasuke have confronted each other in a way, hopefully it does turn out to be Madara and Kabuto vs Itachi and Sasuke.

However I really have to say this... I miss mangastream translations

Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading the manga for free but these translations are so terrible it makes me want to slap the nearest person to me lol

It as if all they've done is googled the translations into english

I really hope narutobase improve their translations by a considerable amount.
However once again I am thankful for their effort.

If anyone knows a site that translate the manga better, please tell me.

B) We see more of Itachi's personality...
C) More of Madara's personality, wich was left quite blanc till now...
D) We learn more about Hashirama's abilities...
E) It's hinted Sasuke might taq team with Itachi, to fight Kabuto... In that case, I'd predict Orochimaru reincarnation from the dimenssion of Itachi, and Madara summoning to protect Kabuto... Imagin 3 susano in the same battlefield... and a 2 Giant snakes too (Considering Kabuto might have a similar power...)... Awsome Battle...

pretty ok chapter i did not like the convo between itachi and sasuke, i just didn't get a good sense to what was going on, and why sasuke reacted confused/schocked on page 12, i really liked how sasuke was acting all like a lil brother pleating for answers.

also the 5th hokage is gonna beast right quick but for no reason cuz madara will still kick butt.

that was pretty awesome ahaha. so sasuke is a very very confusing person haha "i do not want to walk this path." and itachi ahhaa well since sasuke is behind him and there talking and jumping around aha might as well give it a try to tell sasuke to turn back as in his path decision.

Seriously Madara is one hell of a character looking up on the five kages I guess arrogance is a common trait for an Uchiha, I think that Madara should win this fight easily but I don't think that this is what in kishi's mind so I hope that if he must lose he mustn't lose alone (he must drag a couple of the kages with him).
LOVED THE SUSANOO CRASH its so rare to see that after all even Itachi didn't expect sasuke to awaken the susanoo.
And I cant stop being impressed of Senju Hashirama.

I like the fact that Itachi manned up and took responsibility for Sasuke's messed up ideals on life because he was a factor in that. Not only him but also their father and all the generations before hand. Sasuke is the result of everything bad in Konoha and Naruto's kind of the result of everything good in Konoha and the ninja world. The evil in people and the mistakes that people (Sasuke included) made was what created Sasuke. He's really a product of faults. I wonder what would happen if the people that have an affect on sasuke start to do the right thing, would that change the Sasuke of the future?

I was surprised that Itachi still had Susanoo, I thought he lost his MS... maybe I missed read... he did slap Sasuke's Susanoo with his own right... Idk...

Plus we have Madara just laughing in Tsunade's face... that made me LOL pretty hard. The Shodai was an amazing Shinobi! I'm pretty sure that the fight between him and Madara had to be crazy! Now think, back then Madara only had the EMS and he put up a good enough fight to against the Shodai (a man that can instantly heal himself btw) to be feared by the Shinobi world (enough for Tobi to do the shit he did and raise the fear he did just by using Madara's name), NOW Madara has the rinnegan too... I don't know if it's going to end well with the kages...

anywho, good chapter wish there was more fighting though...

Guys im hella confused.So here we got Itachi-the man who did everything possible in order to save Sasuke and yet turned him into a criminal? I kinda get it, but if someone could explain it to me better it would be awesome.
BTW, in my opinion Itachi is gona change sasuke SOMEHOW i just know it :D :D

It was a solid chapter it wasn't very good but it was pretty solid. It had too much talking though in the conversation between Sasuke and Itachi they was saying stuff we already knew.

And i would have liked to seen atleast some panels of Madara fighting the kages instead of all that talking i enjoyed Madara dissing Tsunade though but when he started talking about how strong Hashirama was it sounded like he was fanboying over him imo.

Yeah you're right that he didn't die, forgot about that. However, we aren't 100% sure that both senju and uchiha dna are required to activate rinnegan. Never explicitly said (only in the context of Izanagi does Tobi say you need both). Kabuto hints that he and Orochimaru hypothesized that the rinnegan is a natural evolution of the sharingan. But this just complicates things...

Why did Tobi have to take Nagato's rinnegan? (supposing Tobi couldn't use EMS, which we never saw)

Nagato originally "awakened" the rinnegan as a child...but then Tobi claims the eye because he "gave" it to Nagato.

The more they reveal about Edo Madara, the more confusing Tobi gets.

Typical Naruto...nothing is black and white (except zetsu!). This is a complicated mess that better have a good explanation.
