It looks like Kishi is imitating the style used in Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth, a new manga based on Team Guy. I believe it is meant for younger readers. This cover is just a reference to that manga which is going to be animated and air on tv soon.

It looks like Madara will be recalled by Kabuto to help save his butt, as predicted by others here. Madara's clones will stay behind and fight the Kage. I wonder how Sasuke and Itachi will react when they meet the real Madara. What will he tell them. I predict more talking but more fighting too.

And finally, Itachi will tell Sasuke the truth. I've been waiting for this to happen for a long time. This will be epic. I hope.

Tsunade lives. Sasuke joint Itachi to fight Kabuto. Expected both of these things to happen.

The kages has found themselves in a serious pickle, when five of them were unable to defeat one Madara, how can it be possible for one kage to take on five Madaras? I assume that now the only way to stop Madara is by making Kabuto stop the Edo. This chapter was well distributed between the two fight scenes and the fight between Itachi and Sasuke against Kabuto is getting more and more interresting, but that makes me wonder about the promise that Itachi made to Sasuke in saying that they will talk later i.e after taking care of kabuto. Then if Kabuto has been taken care of wouldn't that mean that Itachi will die right away and by that how the hell is he gonna be able to hold that promise. 4/5 chapter.

Good that Sasuke dropped that psycho attitude from previous chapters and is actually going to help. And Itachi kind of promised that he will talk to Sasuke later, does it mean he will still be around when the edo tensei is cancelled?

Since Itachi is no longer controlled by Kabuto (having severed his connection with the jutsu), when he forces Kabuto to do the hand seals to end the technique it will have no effect on him. (in theory)

My guess is that he has Sasuke (or others) seal him after the fight.

Who confirmed Tobi's story? True no one has stepped up and refuted Tobi's story, but that is not a confirmation that Tobi's story is true. I agree with both those posts. There is more to learn about the massacre. And we haven't heard Itachi's side.

I don't think so, I was under the impression that Itachi just overrode the talisam that binds his will. I reckon that he will still disappear if edo is cancelled, but I think thats kind of the point. It will make for a brief touching moment between brothers before sasuke once again looses his brother before his eyes.

When Sasuke asked Danzo, he did not deny it.

When Naruto told Itachi about Sasuke learning the truth about him and deciding to take revenge on Konoha for it, Itachi did not deny it.

When Sasuke recently questioned Itachi about it in the forest, Itachi did not deny it and referenced the Uchiha's plan for a coup which sasuke was "too young to know about".

That's good enough for me.

I agree, however, that more could be told about the massacre itself, or maybe Itachi's feelings on the matter, but the story seems to check out just fine.
