[Discussion] Is Tobi Overrated?

So Tobi seems to powerful on a lot of peoples list primarily based off his control of the 6 Jinchurikis.

So what if Kabuto never revived those Jins?

What would Tobi try to fight/capture Naruto and Bee with?

Gedo Mazo statue? S/T?
How strong is he on your list if he doesn't have the Jinchurikis?

well, Tobi has intangibility, warping, a very very powerful genjutsu (enough to use it with great effect on konan and on a perfect jinchuuriki, yagura), the rinnegan (and he can use it's techniques without the paths), plus gedo mazo with the chakra of seven tailed beasts, which by itself is enough to take on an entire battlefield. he's still top 3 in my book, only very very very fast characters can defeat that combination without prior knowledge.

Tobi has the Rinnegan which means, in theory, he should possess the powers of the Six Paths. On top of that he has the Sharingan and he can warp in and out of space.


Is he overrated? Nope.

I mean, could Nagato do some badass stuff while he was bind to that chair and controlling the six bodies? No. But he used the techniques when freed of ads. ;D Though I can't remember the jins using Pain's abilites... wonder why... Or maybe we have yet to see the terror of Tobi's abbilities. I don't think they'll be overrated though but will give his opponents a hard time.

Agree with this.

Also, another reason why Tobi isn't using the powers of the Six Paths is because they already know of those powers. I believe Kakashi also mentioned this

Tobi is not overrated. How can you even say that? That guy has sharingan, rinnegan, space time jutsu, intangibility, fooled everyone until now that he is madara... He is on top in my villains list in naruto.

Tobi also controlled the 9 tails perfectly.

Even without a bunch of stupid edo's, he's still beyond OP as his sharingan can control the tailed beasts on its own.

S/T is a very OP ability in Naruto.
