dude if not for the 1st's ability to use wood element than he would not have won, and i know we cant judge like that but the 1st also had control of all 8 of the other tailed beasts, so it wasnt him alone, the 4th on the other hand fought the kyuubi with only his and gamabunta's power, which doesnt come close to the power of 8 tailed beasts, and minato didnt say that he fought tobi, just that he saw through all of his moves, i mean even the user of the rinnegan cant defeat the kyuubi at 8tails and yet minato with no known kekkai genkai's was able to fight toe to toe with it at full power, i mean did you see how much the kyuubi hates minato?! he was more pissed off then when he saw sasuke's sharingan, that should tell u how powerful yondaime was

That's like saying if the 4th didn't know how to seal then the leaf wouldn't be here and the show would have no point. You can't just take away abilities from a character and then make a theory to prove someone's wrong. He DOES have the wood element.

is that the only part of my post u read??? if you read right after that you would see that i said we cant judge someone like that, but that it just is more of a testament to how strong the 4th actually was, the fact that the 1st was able to control the 8 other tailed beasts also needs to be taken into consideration, because i doubt anyone would consider using the bijuu's like a pet qualifies as the use of ninja tools, pls read my whole thread instead of commenting on one part that i clearly addressed in my post

1st of all, u r right that 1st was an uber ninja, and simply becos he was from first generation, some ppl dont give him his due credit, bcos "next generation is supposed to surpass the previous one". guess what, madara, the final villain, is from first generation!!!

now ppl say if 1st didnt have kekkai genkai and this and that, then blah blah blah. rubbish. without these abilities wud he be 1st hokage? without rinneagn wud pain be pain? whatabout itachi and sharingan? we shudnt seperate ppl's abilities when we judge them. it is the very abilty that made the man, the man.

anyway its not conclusive from this conversation that 4th is weaker than madara/masked guy(strange why he didnt mention the name 'madara'???). 4th never said i wud get defeated by him. madara saw thru everything means madara saw thru wht 4th was trying to do, whats his purpose.

if he was that strong why escaped when kuybi was sealed? this madara guy is so dependent on kuybi.

actually it was. My bad . But anyway I still agree with Shodaime. The fourth admitted that Madara saw through all his moves aka saying that he was much stronger than him. Even if your trying to prove how powerful the 4th was you can't prove the 4th wrong on his own strength. And about the the part about sasuke's sharingan. That may be true but it's much more likely that he was more mad because the 4th actually sealed away his power. Madara only controlled him and I don't think it was that long of a time. I mean if someone sealed you in a kid and someone else controlled you for a second. Who would you be more pissed at? The rest of it though. I'm not really sure. That's much more opinion based than the other parts.

shodiame is better yondiame is second cause shodiame beat the crap outa madara and then Poof yondiame 'died'(Some say*rolls eye*) to the kyuubi,

You make it sound as if Madara is some ordinary street kid!!

We don't know how strong Yondaime was. I don't think we can compare different Hokage's to each other either. All of them were in different ages.

The first was strong , but Madara was a worthy rival. Otherwise First wouldn't have even compromised with him...

Minato was much younger than the first hokage when he faced Madara along with Kyuubi. He had created his own four unique jutsus even at that young age.

If Madara was able to see thorough his every move (Sharingan makes that easy), Minato was also able to notice his presence, his mask and his Akatsuki coat and see through his cunningness.

Minato not only sealed Kyuubi, he used a very complex sealing jutsu with a number of fail safe. Which , BTW, were his own technique. Minato might have died but he managed to plot future moves and defences against the strange enemy. That requires enormous foresight, and talent of a genius.

Nobody else in Konoha noticed that much, even though probably every shinobi available in the village was present to fend of the fox and watching from sidelines. Some of them must be form Uchiha clan as well, for Itachi hadn't killed them till then.

Madara couldn't proabably own even the Third- not without Kyuubi. Otherwise why he waited for 16 years since Kyuubi was sealed? After all, the fourth hokage was dead while sealing the bijju. Madara could have taken care of rest of the village, if he was that strong. One can say, Madara's power seems in running away and cunningness.

With right tools and strategy and on a good day, a Shikamaru can own a Hidan. Maybe, first was stronger than Minato , maybe he was not. The first thought he defeated Madara for forever. He didn't try to find out what happenned to Madara once he left the village. Madara had just retreated even then. At least Minato guessed that whoever the masked man was, he would be back.

We do not have enough data to really compare them with each other- just personal opinions. No need to call other's opinion crap just because you do not agree.

Well you have to take into consideration that
1-Madara has EMs
2-He's extremly old
So he's been around the block more than once. He probobly wasen't as strong when he fought the 1st. With wisdom comes power, I don't think we can really compare.
