I do think though that even if Sasuke managed to use Amaterasu, all Pain would have to do is use Chibaku Tensei on the area Amaterasu is surrounded in. If he gets Sasuke with it, which I'm sure he would...Sasuke would pretty much be trapped in a small sun. Unless he extinguished it.

Does it matter? Pein is dead.

BUt if he were alive and they fought, I don't think sasuke would win. He really isn't reliable in a fight.

I think Sasuke is stronger then Pein, but being able to defeat him is different, Sasuke doesnt want to kill anyone except those so he can exact his revenge this is were Pein would beat him, Pein woulcd come at him with killing in mind

i agree with this 100%. but think minato is the only one who could truely fight pain 1 on 1. minato, orochimaru and neji are the genuises of their generation, but minato is the only one so far that has the reputation and jutsu ability to fight with pain. minato would probably get pwnd by pain in the beginning, but it would only be a matter of time til he figured out what pains powers were. then his talent and speed would pwn pain.

oh yea, i think the 9 tails could fight evenly with pain too. beat pain....

mmmm idk. it would be a hell of a fight though.

i agree with you. so it really depends.. but even with full knowledge .. it will be extremely hard for sasuke to beat him

Right now outside Shusui and his teleporting jutsu, no one is stopping sasuke..

Unless Naruto teams up with his kyubi, then we have an entirely different arguement.

Sasuke is nice in taijutsu, second only to itachi in genjutsu, and was trained by oro in ninjutsu..

Pein was hella strong, but unlike naruto who had to overpower(and outlast) pein to win(including letting the kyuni take over, sasuke literally has a counter for all of Peins tricks(bodies included)...

And i ****ing HATE SASUKE.

Sasuke does not have a counter for all of Peins moves. What is he going to do against a Shinra Tensei? Pein is the best counter to genjutsu with multiple bodies and his ninjutsu's will be useless against Preta and Deva realms. The thing is w/o knowing the secret of Nagato's body Sasuke doesn't really have a chance. This body who has all the powers of the 6 paints can revive the other bodies.

pein neary wiped out the whole Konoha village by himself [well, not really by himself, with his power-dead people] and he is really strong being the leader of the akatsuki. also he has the rinnegan, which is from that dude who is the founder of the ninja world, with the 6 stages thing...
sasuke killed itachi thats true...and orochimaru. but i can't help but think there a carch, some limit or maybe a luck/chance thing when he fights oponents.

Pain is being seriously underestimated here.

It doesn't matter how strong your jutsu are against pain, even FRS, because pain has the revival technique to bring the bodies back.

The only way to kill pain is to kill nagato, and to kill nagato you must

1.Learn about him while he's attacking you
2.Find out where he is
3.Get to nagatos body while the bodies try and stop you advancing to where nagato is
4.Be speedy enough to get to nagato before Konan gets them out of the area
5.Be strong enough after all this to then kill konan or incapacitate her somehow and kill nagato afterwards.

Sasuke may pull off 1, maybe, but its not a definite.
After that 2 is fairly obvious, the secret tells you hes transmitting chakra so the higher up the better.

4-No, even naruto didnt get there in time, konan said she'd get them out of there but nagato said no, this is the really difficult thing in beating pain, he can retreat whenever he wants as soon as you beat 1 2 and 3.
5.Konans not too strong (though may change in future), but pain can still fight even in that chair thing he is in.

Pain is a tough cookie.

i actually have to agree with twisted for once. without ANY knowledge of pain before fighting him, the chances of beating him are almost zero. like i said, the two beings in the naruto universe that could fight pain one on one and win WITHOUT prior knowledge are minato and possibly kyuubi. but even they would have a hell of a fight and wouldn't walk away from the fight unharmed.

naruto was pwning pain in the beginning sure, but it's because pain didn't have the god realm to start with. when god realm's powers came back, face it, naruto got WTFPWND, even with all the information jiraiya produced for him.
