thats basically what i got from his speech in this chapter.
he said kabutos a better spy than him. obviously as itachi told konoha nothing of any worth, and put thousands in danger.
admits he didnt do anything in situations when he could have (as ive been telling you all)
decieved even himself with the monster he was pretending to be and became that monster. thats why he tortured kakashi and sasuke.
only death brought him back.
so as far as im concerned, itachi is good but only now. before dying he had convinced himself he was the monster everyone thought him to be. he thought thats what he wanted, but it turns out he was failing everyone and especially his brother. its because of him sasuke turned out this way and hes now trying to make amends by saving the alliance. i think itd be a nice ending to his character if he does explain everything to sasuke and stops madara. itd be the one good thing hes done with his life.

He thought that through his whole act of lies and deciet he could both protect Konoha from the Uchiha and bring up Sasuke as a villiage hero for killing him. The first part succeeded, the second did not (thanks to Tobi).

He's still my favorite shinobi in the series though, and he continues to get better!

I didn't get that at all.Itachi basically said he failed because he couldn't accept himself for who he was and instead convince himself he was someone else.I think this was an admission by Itachi that his plan for Sasuke wasn't the right one, and he should have probably told him the truth.As for the spy thing, where did Itachi even hint at Kabuto being a better spy than him?

What has Kabuto shown so far that makes you think he could have solo Itachi and Sasuke?
Sage Art: White Rage Technique did stop Sasuke from using his Susanoo, but it didn't stop Itachi.Actually, plot no jutsu is working in Kabuto favor right now, seeing a Sasuke was able to used his Susanoo to stop Muki Tensei while Itachi wasn't.

im not hating. im saying he admits he turned into a monster that he himself created, by decieving even himself and couldnt accept that what everyone thought of him wasnt his true self. and did the same thing to his 7 year old brother. only now does he look back on his life and realise it was full of failure. he says that when you have comrades you can be able to do things you otherwise believe your not able to do. that was his mistake. he wasnt changing anything by making an irrelevant brat go back to konoha. and he kept employing horrible and despicable means of achieving his goals like genocide, brainwashing and planned betrayal.

Itachi is a boring-ass character and he do suck, only reason he sealed nagato was plot no jutsu up the ass.
Nagato would massacre him a million times over, he was never any big shot.
He only gets mentioned and known by people cuz he´s sasukes brother so people think "he´s so strong!"
Bullshit, also except for his story he´s one of the most cliche characters in naruto, no personality, your typical mary sue.

When i saw it, i thought he let himself get stabbed on purpose to activate Izanami or sth. But i hope we get to see this jutsu soon now, there's waaaayyy too much talk no jutsu, especially from Kabuto, what an annoying character, i'd actually like him cuz of his abilities but he's so fckng irritating it makes the whole chapter lame.
