I don't think Iron Sand would do much to a Bijuu, but it would be a threat, also don't forget that Sasori has powerful fire and water attacks, so it would be hard to defeat him.

Nevertheless, even if they managed to defeat him, it would be with extreme difficulty.

Remember Gaara as a character would be completely against letting Shukaku out and would only unleash it if it was the last possible resort- meaning Sasori could end it quickly if he doesn't mess around and play with his prey like normal. Good response though.

If this hits while he is still in Hikuro the fight ends. He wouldn't have an opportunity to do anything else. He can't summon his other puppets or bring them out of Hikuro because everything would be diced....
