i liked the flashbacks for minato ,naruto ,sasuke ,gaara ,kakashi ....
hell even bee's flash back was ok
but now the flashbacks are just getting bad first was the tsuchikage and now kabuto they are no fun atall , they tell us nothing new and are just boring
if they want to do flashbacks they should do them for madara , itachi and tobi there is a lot i want to know about them

your right this isnt a great chapter for me cuz i love action! but what makes naruto great for me is the great affiliation you have with the characters and how they all tie into the plot. As far as Kabuto if he ends up being just a pawn of Orochimaru or easily handled by Itachi and Sasuke then all this backround on him isnt necessary if he really isnt a major player and im still not convinced he is!

This was an ok chapter, I mean it's interesting to learn more about Kabuto's past but it seems to be slow, and it looks as though Oro put the who plan into motion to take Kabuto when he first meet him. Kabuto is deadly with his medical jutsu.

I would like to know about kabuto but not in the middle of the fight. Dang, but its not like we didn't see this before he does it all the time. Kishi next time at least wait till after the fight is over.

- The montage of Kabuto at the other villages.
- Kabuto's reaction to Nonou forgetting him.
- Orochimaru creepily rising out of the water.

Dislike
- Still no plot progression.
- Still no Izanami.
- Completely undoes what we were previously told about Kabuto's past.

My favorite part about this chapter? How so many people didn't realize that Danzo and Orochimaru were connected. The connection goes deeper than that, quite possibly to Tobi and Madara themselves. If Madara obtained Hashirama's cells, assuming no one else ever did, then the only place Orochimaru would have gotten them is from either Madara or Tobi.

The informing of us of Kabuto's background is not a bad thing and i actually enjoy learning of a character's background, but, however, there are two reasons why i do not like this chapter and the last: timing and the method used. As we all agree, the timing is literally the worst I've seen as we all know that we would like the chapter more if it wasn't right in the middle of the war. The method used is retarded because this is a ninja fight among two Uchihas and a sage. In this fight, any mistake could easily cause a loss, and i'm sure the two brothers wouldn't let Kabuto think about his past. At the very least they would use the fact that he's standing still and being unfocused from storytelling to their advantage by making a strategic plan, but, unfortunately, Kishi is just allowing Kabuto to unrealistically, even for the Narutoverse, tell a story of his past.

Flashbacks tend to happen in a manner of seconds, hence the name 'flashback.' I highly doubt that these flashbacks are any different from flashbacks we've seen throughout the series, many of which not only happened during a fight, but didn't have any impact whatsoever on the outcome.

im kinda confused.... cause wasn't kabuto supposed to spy on oro as he was working for sasori? So when he meets oro at the end of chapter is he working under sasori too?

I've read must of the comments, and all I see is people saying that all they want to see is Izanami.

How can you say, that the reason that the super spy/super secret ninja (Kabuto) isn't already under the influence of Izanami???

IMO Itachi already cast Izanami so he could see how he would stop Kabuto jutso, and see what is Kabuto real plan.

I honestly believe that we are seeing Izanami.

With regard to this week manga, I think it was Orochimaru that killed Nonou so that he could take Kabuto under is wing.

I think this is the "destiny" that Itachi is trying to change with Izanami.
