you can say goodbye to kabuto his time has been way over due i just think kishi wants to send him out with a bang why else would he have both brothers attack him? If kishi wanted for kabuto to live i don't think he would send both brothers he would just send itachi and itachi would get owned and turned into a pawn again but nooooooooo he sent in both of them so he can eradicate the sh*t out of kabuto....but anyways just my thought kishi is the man with the plan.

The chapter was OK nothing great though. It looks like Kabuto is going to die since where getting his flashback. That probably means Sasuke is going to kill him which again is the opposite of what Itachi wanted. So that means Madara will still have to be dealt with by the Kage's.

I love the twist in the story and also the back story on Kabuto. It actually made me get to know who Kabuto is. One thing I am disappointed about is that, there is conflict on the back story of Kabuto. If you can remember, during the early years and days of Shippuden we were told that Kabuto was given to Orochimaru by Sasori of the Sand. Now this story tells us a different thing. How then can we reconcile this two different stories. How did Sasori met Kabuto and I also believe that Sasori gave Kabuto to Orochimaru when they were partners in Akatsuki.
I am really confused, if someone can enlighten me on this, I will be glad.

If you remember back to that point in time, they mentioned that he was being controlled by Sasori and Orochimaru broke that hold on him, so odds are that he was already working for him when Sasori found and brainwashed him to spy on Orochimaru. It never said that he met him before he met Orochimaru.

This chapter actually wasn't too bad. Kabuto got a little more interesting, especially after he killed his "mother." We might be able to see some of the true intentions of Orochi's experiments too. So 3 stars for this average chapter.

It was good the see Orochimaru again. He was the best villian in the series. Also was that third ninja that was with Orochimaru and Danzo Ebisu? The tutor of Konohamaru in part 1.

That's likely untrue, because Shisui was around Itachi's age, and the point of time this chapter is set in is likely before they were born. And at this time, Orochimaru is still a part of the Leaf, which I doubt he was still affiliated with at the time he performed on Danzo.

Interesting chapter. For those who wondered about the spy thing, you got your answers. It appears Danzo and Oro go WAY back - to Root. And, his mother probably had a memory seal on her mind that Danzo reactivated so she would be a shinobi again. No wonder Kabuto is such a mess. For those who think this chapter sucked, it was an important one as Kabuto, like everyone, identifies with the one they identify as their parent, mostly their mother. He lost his mother when she became a spy and infiltrated the Hidden Rock shinobi. And, since her memory seal was broken, she forgot who she was previously. Then there's Orochimaru...his destiny with Kabuto was a sure thing from his childhood. He was easy prey, ripe for the picking. No wonder he became the terror that he is now.

For those who didn't like Pain, remember: Naruto didn't especially like his methods, but he came to an understanding with him based on what happened to Pain/Nagato. I believe Kishi is demonstrating that lesson again. For those that wanted action, you should probably wait a few weeks. For those of us who want plot, this was a very interesting chapter.

Yeah, I think you're right - or a relative. Ebisu is too emotional these days - unless he, too, has a memory seal on his mind.

That was quite a nice flashback, IMO. The timing of it is still.. um... off. But it's a good flashy nonetheless.

It makes Kabuto out to be more of a sympathetic character - at least until he joined Orochimaru, it seems. I never liked his character, but these last few chapters had me warm up to him a little. He's more interesting than I thought; I was thinking he'd just be another "oh I was wronged as a child, now I'm evil", but there's definitely more to it. And apparently "Mother" was a mole? Dun dun dunnn....

Seems like there's always been some pretty sick corruption going on in Konohagakure. ****ing Root, such arseholes.

Also, seriously Danzo? "You look worn out"? Look who's ****ing talking. Sheesh.

4 stars. Don't hate on flashback chapters, guys.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. I really enjoyed this chapter, which is surprising since I'm not much of a Kabuto fan. I'm curious to see how this flashback fits into the current fight. If it's just a flashback for flashback sake (because Kabuto's gonna die), then I'll be disappointed since it could have been shown at any time -- no need to stall a war for Kabuto's story.

True but he was wit oro nd they could've already been taking eyes we dont know if shisuis eye were the first to be implanted.. its a mystery but I have to think that otherwise why would he have oro around him plus oro was already secretly doin experiments so knowing danzo he used oro to experiment on him for the sake of the village

If you note, Kabuto was, at one time, a Sand shinobi. Meeting Sasori would have been relatively easy. He could have been his superior, especially as Sasori was not just a puppet master but a medical nin, like his grandmother, Chiyo (his development of poisons). And, also, recall that the Rock and the Sand were bitter enemies. That could have been an easy spy assignment and taking out his mother would have to been part of the orders as he also knew she was a spy. As far as the "gift" of Kabuto to Orochimaru, I think we have yet to see it. What this part says is that Kabuto was merely a commodity to be traded, not a human being, from the very beginning. He lost his identity when his mother wouldn't recognize him.

Dont know why.. but for some reason, I think Itachi's special technique is used to change people's past because he was the one who made Kabuto remember his past out of nowhere. Itachi also said that only he can defeat Kabuto.. I see no other way one can beat Kabuto than this..

Kabuto it is a great character and a nice bad guy, he deserved to have his flash, naruto,sasuke, itachi, minato are not the only guys who can have their on flashback.

Orochimaru in root, being one of danzos bodyguard, ****ing peoples lifes to get their goals, that pure gold, just having orochimaru an danzo togather thats like asking 2 of the best bad bad guys with charisma.

I liked this chapter very much!
