Actually....Konans main objective has always been protecting nagato-incase an enemy figures out and nagato needs cover.

Jiraiya was a powerful ninja, Pain himself said if he knew his secret he would be dead, ergo why konan retreated fast and simply stayed by nagato.

Pain isnt the sarcastic type, when he sent konan after Jiraiya he said "If you can kill him before i get there do so"

Hes not the type to tease, so i strongly believe pain felt konan was skilled enough to take on Jiraiya, otherwise why would he say it?

Though to be honest now we have seen pains abilities im not sure if Jiraiya wouldve won even if he did know about nagato, even narutos having trouble and

a)has more chakra
b)knows pains secret
c)mastered sage mode better than jiraiya
d)had more giant toads/frogs helping him
e)pain wasnt fresh
f)Pain did capture the 6tails, it was 8tails that escaped chibaku tensei
g)Has FRS. much better than ultimate rasengan by jiraiya

Dunno pain is one tough cookie, if he joins with naruto itd be pretty awesome.

Hmm while that's true.. do you really think her jutsu manipulates water in any way? I don't. If she were creating paper, it'd probably be 100% an earth based jutsu.

I don't think she's actually creating the paper though. Her skill is most likely compressing paper. Origami = folding paper, manipulating it. She compresses it so completely thin, that it's sharp even without her chakra running through it! So thin, that she can store massive amounts on her person (think, many many layers of skin). Of course if that were true... think about how heavy she would be.

paper isnt made from earth, paper is made from wood FFS, if she is making the paper, she is using wood, its that freakin simple, thats how you make paper-with wood, not dirt and earth.

If she is storing it-fair enough
If she is using a seal to kuchiyose it-fair enough.
If she is making it-shes using wood

We havent seen evidence for any of these, so each option is equally as valid, however isnt it strange that kishi hasnt shown how she uses paper?

He usually doesnt mind showing people storing weapons, or using seals (sasuke vs itachi with them tattood seals on his arms for kunai) so why is he not showing how konan uses her jutsu?

That makes me suspicious which is why i reckon she is senju, and does use wood jutsu

Yes kind of... paper is kind of "dead" wood with little amounts of water, but its still made from wood, its just the end product is paper (thats not wood)

Thats the whole point of manufacture, you make something new from something else.

And no its not just earth because water is needed to make the wood, you just dehydrate it out afterwards.

Just because paper ends up dry with no water in (or minimal amounts) doesnt mean it doesnt require water, its just water isnt present in the end product.

Many things made dont have water in them, but its still used to make it.

Paper is made from wood, thats all you need to know, therefore if she is making paper, she is making wood, its that simple.

you cannot make paper from earth, you need wood, you just extract the water afterwards, water in water out, still requires it though.

Just to recap on what you are saying. Because she is using paper, that is made from wood, she must be able to create wood right? And we all know from the manga that wood requires both earth and water elemental chakra. Thus if she have the ability to create paper, she must have the ability to create mokoton/wood jitsu, and she must have the ability to create earth + water jitsus?

Actually she would be immune to that weakness assuming she would manipulate water as far as creating wood and then dehydrating it in an instant... or whatever.

Also, Zetsu should be consider more Senju than Konan I mean he's a plant after all.

wood is a kg that is left to shodai who was able to create the water and earth simultaneously to create wood. This kg lies within Senju and can't be outside the clan. But Konan never created wood, only paper.

It doesn't have anything to do with wood in the manga. It is like Sai's jutsu or the sand jutsu, it's a regular jutsu that shouldn't be associated to things like wood.

Here jitsu is not that of the mokoton type, in fact I doubt that her jitsu has anything to do with a elemental type and that I think her jitsu is more like a technique like inos where she can do mind transfer. Which is also not related to any elements! I dont know why every body think that every jitsu needs to be some form of elemental jitsu?
