If you look closely at the picture of Itachi you can see his eye. It is just very faint. In 585 The eye is gone.

It could just be a coincidence. Just by the fact alone that one of his eyes disappeared doesn't mean Izanami was successfully activated as shown above. But either way, I don't see it. This was the last panel shown of both of Itachi's eyes:



None of his eyes are considerably faint. Care to show?

Yeah I'm sure Itachi already activated Izanami...I mean he said it was ready like 2 chapters ago -_-...so Kabuto slicing him has no effect...also he landed right infront of Sasuke who has a Susanoo. Copying peoples abilities is cool and all...but Kabuto is just a douche and doesn't do it justice.

Izanagi takes one eye, to be explicit the eye closes and never opens again (I assume it is also blind behind the eyelid). It's just black.

Let's not forget that Kabuto experimented with the DNA of all of his past subordinates. There is a very high chance that he already has the blood of an Uchiha which came from Sasuke. He may counter Izanami and whatever it does.

I checked both Madara's/Itachi's pages previous chapters ago when they got caught by others, they both have their eyes slowly fainted like someone is dying.. if you look into the last chapter, Itachi's eyes are way different than that, his left eye shines unaffected at all, while his right eye is COMPLETELY fainted, not even the cornea appears in it.

To support this:

1. We haven't seen the actual conditions, circumstances, or requirements of Izanami yet. This means that we don't even know that it has the cost of eyesight.

2. Assuming it's the same as Izanagi's, from the two occasions we have seen Izanagi used on the end effect looked like this:

In both of which the eyes appear to be gradually closing rather than disappearing altogether like it was shown in the panel of Itachi's seemingly absent eye.

So what was shown in the panel where one of Itachi's eyes are seemingly missing does not mean Izanami was activated. It could either mean it was in fact activated, or it was actually effectively negated.

Yea, I think since it's a touch and go situation and he just used the one he's more proficient in, which isn't Tsukuyomi - remember Killer Bee and Danzo? Although there were underlying circumstances which could satisfactorily explain why those two attempts failed more or less in the way that they did the smartest response was to use regular sharingan genjutsu since it will work anyway.

In simpler terms: The case could actually be quite similar to that of Madara's lack of use of the Tsukuyomi in spite of him presumably having it--it just isn't entirely necessary.

Something (seemingly) identical recurred with Itachi in this recent chapter. That means it stands to reason that because this already happened to two characters (Madara and Itachi) it doesn't necessarily mean Itachi activated Izanami. On top of that, this isn't the first time we've seen this happen to Itachi. Refer to previous posts.

Good chapter the best chapter in about a month. Kabuto is crazy strong I want to see Itachi's new power so hopefully well see it in the next chapter.

Their reason of fighting him without killing him is way more important than Kabuto's reasons, you can take Itachi out of Kabuto's list, cause he's already a dead person, so Kabuto is already aiming to kill him so that he can control him again, and the last page of the Manga proves it.. and Sasuke is just something he wants to use to have more power.

While on the other side, killing Kabuto is way too dangerous.. imagine Edo Madara lives forever, and can't be killed.. the world will be in vain if that happens.

Sasuke actually looked pretty impressive this chapter instead of a 5 year old genin. It also looks like Sasuke DOESN'T have tsukuyomi like I've thought. Anyway the chapter was pretty decent, so it gets a 4/5.

Your wrong go reread in chapter he fought killer bee and danzo he can use tsukyiomi just not very well and it drains him so he just used a genjutsu on the level of tsukyiomi
