Simple power of rinnegan.

I was rading through some topics and I was kinda like you know surprised by one thing.
What's the power of Rinnegan? When Nagato killed rock chunin he wasnt even a ninja.
Rinnegan's power lies in manipulating 6 types of realms and in beeing able to see everything from each body. In order to control 6 types of realms you should have bodies or at the very least know some jutsus.
Nagato wasnt even a ninja when he kild rock chunin. he didnt know any jutsus. So, how did he kill that chunin?
Does Rinnegan have some amaterasu-like technique, that just blasts enemy away? We know that Rinnegan can cast genjutsu (big eye that appears as a sky aroundenemy) but to killd chunin for an innocent boy, this is not enough, is it? That genjutsu only shocks you for couple seconds.

actually that isn't a genjutsu..
Jiraiya and Kakashi were stabbed by the black rods, and the rods are to allow nagato disturb their chakra with his own which makes that person kind of paralyzed or something.

nagato controls those dead bodies with his chakra. the reason he needs rods is because when they get far away from him he can't control them. In close range, nagato can enter/control the enemy's body with his chakra.

That's a good point. And I don't know. Mabye he can mess with the chakra cirulatory system, which is connected to organs causing them to die...

actually we don't know how he killed the rock chuunin. he used rinnegan.. and was blacked out during the whole thing. so we don't know if it was a wind jutsu.

the diffrence ebtween this naga & the nagato in the past when he was young is dat the young nagato use all of 6 elemnts & joryayas known techniques @ that time
but now he just shoots bladesout his back & use se 6 th paths jutsu

I believe I wrote about this a while back, after having the same thought...

If you look at the image of the rock ninja... he is laying down, and
1. Blood is coming from him internally, ie the mouth, and nose...
2. The ninja's eyes are white.

Nagato told Jiraiya that he "blacked out or something" and that it "felt like I was going out of my mind"

Using hindsight after we know how his future self fights... we see Nagato controlling bodies. This technique is similar to Ino's mind transfer.

When Nagato stabs someone with the black antenna, eyes appear in the victims mind... as if Nagato is peering into their conscience...

The black antenna is a controlling rod/ conductor for his chakra and rinengan technique... now imagine Nagato as a child... and having that power activate, out of control... in a life or death situation, in order to protect a friend....

I think the rinnengan literally punched the rock ninja's soul out of its body completely... and that is why Nagato felt like he literally "went out of his mind" and into the rock ninjas...

I thought the power of the Rinnegan was to be able to see even more then the shinnegan and be able to copy and due every single type of jutsu and master all the elements and black and white jutsus too...if he had a natural affinity to whatevea that would be the one he might start with and naturally be able to possess and control initally... cuz i remember he wasnt able to control all six elements untill he trained with jirarya

Up close maybe the rinnegan allows the user to control other bodies. In the new spoiler Nagato does somthing to Naruto and he is able to withstand his control, and Konan says somthing like wow what a guy, he is able to withstand Nagato from such a close distance.

Of course he is only able to do this up close with his true body, so maybe after controlling them he can know what they know and use their own jutsus against them....i dunno just a theory.

thats a big mystery abt rinnegan ability. where is all 5 elemental jutsu, what is the additional 6th element????!!!

my guess he himself(now he does it using dead bodies) used a little shinra tensei on rock ninja. ST doesnt require any seal formation.

what cahkra-san said seems reasonable.................But I thought, since nagato was scared, his powers came out on which he had no control.....Thus an unintentional SHINRA TENSEI was fired up.......killing those rock chunnis....

I believe that the ability is the ability to master all 6 types of nature manipulation (DUH), but it is also able to determine how to obtain the strongest jutsu of each, so in the case of the 6th type of nature manipulation, (believed to be the source of Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino's jutsu's) Pain's Shinra Tensai, Bansho Ten'in, and Chikabu Tensai are the strongest form of the 6th type.
