kabuto if he defeats sasuke will just reactivate edo tensei and do sick experiments on him. and if that happens, itachis "heroics" will be made pointless since its confirmed he will disappear regardless of koto amatsukami. once he goes that genjutsu goes too. and then theres nothing stopping kabuto from making him his puppet again and destroying the alliance with him and madara. if madara even disappears at all.
sasuke will have to be the one to actually save the alliance for good, not just temporarily. unless itachi manages to kill kabuto as well before disappearing. but now that hes gotten what he wanted, izanami should end.

Well as the title says i don't think this is the actual edo tensei release. This is for one main reason shown here:

If you read that page of the manga, Kabuto says that to release the edo tensei you need to make the Dog>Horse>tiger handseals and then say release but in the latest issue:

He does the rat>ox>monkey>tiger>dragon>boar handseals and then says release.

So I think that itachi has done something else, not released the actual edo tensei but maybe he has released their souls so they have their minds and bodies back? Im not sure im just speculating.

The only other scenario i can think of is that kabuto lied to Tobi about Edo tensei.

But Sasuke would still have to use Izanami and a genjutsu for Kabuto to release it again. But since Edo is released he can kill him at will.

Great chapter, though the cliffhangers are killing me and the break next week makes it worse
I wonder what Itachi intends to do next. He doesn't have much time left and since his right eye is gone, Tsukuyomi is no longer available. He did promise to have a conversation with Sasuke after Edo Tensei is released and implied that this time he would keep his words, unlike when he was still alive.
Tobi is still a badass, beating Naruto quite seriously without a scratch.
Does anyone notice that the seals to release Edo Tensei is completely different from the seals which Kabuto revealed to Tobi earlier? Of course he could have lied, but if it is not the case and the jutsu, which Itachi forces Kabuto casting, is something else, then it would be one of the most awesome twist ever.
All in all, an awesome chapter. Though a little bit disappointing due to the next week break.

Or, kabuto has tricked itachi, and Madara is left unaffected. So only certain edo's were released, because you can clearly see the edo body's disintegrating, and the souls leaving.
But it could also just be a mistake by kishi

Only the user can release it. Even if Sasuke knows he has to make Kabuto do it.

that doesnt mean sasuke will choose to end it again. why would he want that? he will just kill kabuto for daring to **** with his bro. only reason kabutos alive is cos itachi told sauske not to try and kill him. that means if sasuke does nothing, kabuto will still just reactivate it. izanami wont endure after the users death IMO

This new chapter is so lame kishi showing the perfect susanoo so that next chapter is gone ... no kage is dead .... edo tensei is gone ... we dint see madara full power :mad: we didnt see dan ghost transformation jutsu .... and all other edos battles this sucks

Only the caster can undo the edo tensei and the one who summoned Madara was Muu, who is now gone, so who knows how long he'll be sticking around for.
