At one time, Kumogakure was at war with Konohagakure no sato. However, on the day of Hinata Hyuga's third birthday, both villages signed a peace treaty. This treaty was soon revealed to be nothing more then a cover when the the Head Ninja of the time, who was in Konoha to sign the treaty, attempted to kidnap Hinata in order to obtain a Byakugan and its secrets. The Head Ninja was killed in his attempt by Hinata's father, Hiashi Hyuga.
Kumogakure denied all accusations and demanded the dead body of Hiashi as compensation for the death of their Head Ninja. At request of Hiashi's twin Hizashi Hyuga, the Hyuga clan and the Third Hokage, not wanting to lose the heir to the clan, decided to send Hizashi's body instead. This had another advantage, besides saving the life of the Hyūga heir; Hizashi's Cursed Seal would seal his Byakugan after his death, safeguarding its secrets. Although they are not allies, Kumogakure and Konohagakure seem to be on friendly terms now.
Kumogakure, like Iwagakure, is unique for having had two tailed beasts in its possession: Yugito Nii and Kirābī. Equally unique is the fact that the village is outraged when both Yugito and Kirābī are captured by Akatsuki, as most villages had shunned their jinchuriki. After Kirābī (the Raikage's brother) is captured, the village starts dedicating its time to dealing with Akatsuki and saving Kirābī. Yugito and Kirābī had a great deal of control over their tailed beasts, such that Kirābī was not allowed to fully transform into his beast.

Abilities


Even though he has only been shown in one fight so far, Kirābī has shown to be an extremely powerful ninja. He was easily capable of overwhelming Jugo, Suigetsu, and Sasuke, and has had his skill praised by several Kumogakure ninja, including his brother, the current Raikage.
[edit]Physical Strength and Taijutsu
His physical strength and taijutsu skill is immense. He is easily capable of disarming a skilled opponent with his bare hands, and proficiently wielded Suigetsu's huge sword seconds after picking it up. His defense is very strong as well, receiving a solid kick to the neck from Sasuke only to drop his sword and begin writing lyrics, and escaping unscathed after being shocked with Sasuke's Chidori and hit from behind with Jugo's rocket-augmented attack.
His specialty, however, is wielding his seven swords, which he does in an odd way, holding them in between the joints of his arms and left leg, his stomach and the left side of his neck and in his mouth. As strange as it appears, he is quite skilled with this, spinning around like a buzz saw and overwhelming his opponent with all of the varying swings.

He is also capable of seamlessly releasing some of the swords to fight in a more conventional style, giving him great versatility. When he does find an opening, he can impale his opponent with most of his swords at once. Neither Suigetsu nor Sasuke could read his sword work, despite one being a highly trained swordsman and the other possessing a Sharingan.

During the battle with Sasuke he displayed the ability to flow lightning-elemental chakra through his blades to increase their cutting power, similar to the Chidori Current Sasuke uses with his Kusanagi Sword.
[edit]Jinchūriki Transformations
Like other Jinchūriki, Kirābī has the ability to create a chakra cloak by drawing on part of his demon's power. He can then form this chakra into the form of two horns, and use them to attack the enemy; a technique called Lightning Plough Hot Sword. This attack has incredible speed and power, but the linearity of his movements makes him easier to predict. Because he has a strong relationship with his own tailed beast, it acts as his partner in battle, disturbing his chakra to dispel even genjutsu from Mangekyou Sharingan. Like his fellow Cloud shinobi, Yugito Nii, he is able to become his Tailed Beast itself with great ease. With the form he can easily and repeatedly fire massive c

Abilities

Since a young age, Neji has been held to be a natural genius, even becoming the top-ranked rookie in his class. His father has even stated that his talent and potential surpasses all other members of their clan, while his uncle told his youngest daughter that no one else had thicker Hyuga blood than he did. While most of the former Konoha Genin become Chunin over the timeskip, Neji is the only one to become a Jonin.

As a member of the Hyuga clan, Neji possesses the Byakugan, which gives him an almost 360-degree field of vision, except for a small blindspot at the back of the neck. Neji is acutely aware of his blind spot and takes extra caution in keeping it away from opponents as well as paying close attention to it. While the Byakugan naturally has only a 50 meter field of vision, Neji is able to increase the range of its sight several times over by the start of Part II, to at least 800 meters. He is noted to have a particularly strong Byakugan in comparison to other members of the Hyuga clan.

Neji's Byakugan allows him to specialize in the Gentle Fist fighting style, which he has mastered to the point he can damage an opponent's chakra pathway system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap. Neji also uses this technique to attack his opponents heart directly and send them into cardiac arrest resulting in the death of the opponent with but a single strike. He can eject chakra from any chakra point in his body to either slow down objects or release himself from chakra based substances that will get him out of trapped situations. This also allows him to sense anything that enters his immediate area, which he can attack or defend against any threat with his extremely fast reflexes.

As a member of the Hyuga clan's branch house, Neji is forbidden to learn the clan's secret techniques, but has managed to deduce their workings simply through observation. He has learned many of these techniques, such as Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin. Since mastering these jutsu, Neji has begun to refine and strengthen them for more specialized needs. In Part II he learned the Eight Trigrams Empty Palm, a more focused version of the Heavenly Spin, with which he can expel chakra from his palm to attack opponents out of his physical reach. In the anime, he also learns to increase the number of strikes of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, doubling them.

neji's not so strong. byakugan's not so strong. freaking bijuu ARE strong. of course, we don't know exactly how much stronger neji's gotten since his fight with kidomaru. though i think it's safe to say he's (as he's always been) weaker than sasuke.. who pretty much was utterly dominated by kirabi.

Cant agree with you here. In first part Neji was stronger i think. Sasuke cudnt keep up with Lee and Neji could, as we saw. + Neji has weirdo Hyyuga techs.
Sure, now their fight will end with. "Amaterasu" or "Chidori Nagashi" but it's now...

as much as I like Neji more i hate to say this but I think Kirabi would win

Kirabi would win without any doubt, Neji is strong but what can he do against a tailed beast? He was no match for Naruto on the moment when Naruto just used a fraction of the kyuubi's chakra(he even didn't had a fox cloak on).
Of course he's now a lot stronger, but still, Kirabi has complete control over the 8-tails.
And the gentle fist doesn't work on jinchuriki's, he can blok the chakra of the person, but not that of the tailed beast.

WTF we are talking about a Bijju not an ordinary ninja Neji coudnt even touch Deidara and he was with Lee,Gai,TEn-TEn and Sasuke barely defended against kirabi not even Jiraiya or Oro could defeat Kirabi and those sannins could defeat nejji in a second

darkkabuto, as much as i respect you and your posts and threads. this was kind of a dumb thread. because it's kinda obvious that killer bee would DESTROY neji. and don't get me wrong, neji is my 3rd favorite character, but the 8 tails would pwn neji.
