before naruto entered the war they already lost that much.

and after madara's meteor and until naruto's arrival they probably lost few thousands more.and the war is still in its 2nd day!

i'd say by the time the war's over, 60,000 out of the 80,000 shinobi will be dead, and maybe 5 important shinobi will be dead, plus two villians. things are heating up now. it's a shame no one important died in the early skirmishes though.

More than half. Htmwall has already shown you the deathtoll after the first day and that was half of the shinobis. We also know that more people have died after that day. Just look at Madara's hax meteor.
