Tsunade is the Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure, a descendent from the Senju clan and from the Uzumaki clan through her grandfather Senju Hashirama and her grandmother Uzumaki Mito. She succeeded in the position of Hokage after the death of her teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi, at the hands of her fellow team mate, Orochimaru. She, along with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, are recognised as "The Legendary Sannin of Konoha". She is also celebrated as the greatest medical-nin of all time and is also credited with creating the official system of the medical ninja. Because of this, she is regarded as one of the most powerful and talented Koinoichi to have ever existed.

Abilities:
As one of the Legendary Sannin and the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade is undoubtedly one of the most powerful ninja that Konoha has ever produced. She is a remarkable combatant and medical-nin and is also hailed as the world's strongest kunoichi, which has lead to many younger kunoichi to look up to her. Jiraiya commented that no one could stand equal to her in terms of close combat and medical prowess.
Descending from the Uzumaki and Senju clans, she possesses an extraordinary long potential lifespan as well as strong life force, vitality and stamina. As a result of her medical prowess and her ancestry, Tsunade has a very high level of chakra control, capable of using complicated and delicate techniques with great ease.
Besides her medical expertise and mastery, Tsunade's trademark is her incredible raw physical strength. She is capable of crushing the ground with a simple finger or to send an enemy flying with a simple finger flick. Using her incredible chakra control, she can use chakra enhanced strength to produce devastating assaults by concentrating chakra on the point of contact and releasing it with a precise timing, boosting her strength to unsurpassed levels.
While her immense vitality, raw strength and battle expertise may be already frightening, her most powerful abilities come from her Yin Seal. Over a period of time, Tsunade will focus and build up chakra in the seal mark on her forehead. The release command will disperse the seal and allow the stored chakra to pump back into her body. This chakra powers her already incredible strength even more and enables her the use of her unique abilities: Creation Rebirth and Strength of a Hundred.
Creation Rebirth and Strength of a Hundred are the pinnacle of medical ninjutsu, showcasing Tsunade's mastery over that field. Both techniques work with the same principle, using the yin chakra released from the yin seal to heal Tsunade's body from any injury. An envied ability, even by Orochimaru, which can give Tsunade a sort of "immortality" in battle, enabling her to regenerate lost limbs or organs, regardless of the damage. Coming at a great cost to her, the abilities themselves are labeled as forbidden and only Tsunade can use them.
Tsunade can summon slugs of varying sizes, although she has only ever been seen summoning Katsuyu. The slugs' primary abilities seem to revolve around spitting acid and splitting into smaller slugs. Tsunade apparently has a mental connection with Katsuyu, as she was able to get reports and send out messages through Katsuyu during the invasion of Pain. Tsunade can transfer her chakra to a large number of slugs over long distances. By having the slugs spread out and attach themselves to wounded individuals, Tsunade is then capable of healing multiple injuries at different locations simultaneously. This technique proved particularly helpful during the Invasion of Pain which helped Tsunade preserve the life of the majority of the village even after a devastating attack by the enemy forces.

Description: While some may see it as "superhuman strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverised into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Description:
The Yin Seal: Release is a powerful sealing technique used by Tsunade. Over a period of time, Tsunade will focus and build up chakra in the seal mark on her forehead. The release command will open the seal and allow the stored chakra to pump back into her body. The seal has two levels of release which enable the use of specific techniques unique to Tsunade:
-Level 1: Tsunade partially opens the seal, which makes the markings of the Yin Seal spread around her face. The Yin Chakra that flows from the Seal powers Tsunade's physical abilities, increasing her already chakra enhanced enormous strength to monstrous levels, adding another +15 to her Taijutsu. Her medical techniques are boosted in both speed and effectiveness. This level enables her the ability to use (Sōzō Saisei) Creation Rebirth on herself or on others through Katsuyu.
-Level 2: After releasing Level 1 of the Yin seal, Tsunade forces the seal to open completely. Upon release, the markings of the yin seal spread around Tsunade's body. This level unleashes the full yin chakra contained in the Yin Seal, boosting her physical abilities, strength and power to unimaginable levels. Her Taijutsu gains another additional +20 boost in damage and her medical techniques gain a tremendous boost in speed and effectiveness. This level enables her the ability to use the (Byakugō no Jutsu) Strength of a Hundred Technique.

Description:
The absolute pinnacle of medical ninjutsu, created by the greatest of medical ninja, Tsunade, it is one of the two ultimate regeneration technique. By releasing the first level of her Yin Seal, she stimulates the body's proteins to increase cell division reconstructing all organs and all tissues making up the human body. The technique itself does not regenerate the old cells, rather it hastens the creation of new ones through division. If this technique is used, a body whose vital organs are so gravely injured that it cannot bear it any longer will be instantly restored to its uninjured state. As long as Tsunade has chakra and is conscious it is impossible for her to die by any means, which means that as such she gains a form of "immortality" throughout the duration of the technique. However, a body's cells can only split a certain number of times in a lifetime, and by speeding up this process, Tsunade is basically shortening her natural lifespan. Also, Tsunade must control the technique consciously, willing it to happen and controlling every aspect of the healing, taking a great deal of concentration and chakra control to keep active.

Description:
This is a forbidden technique that is accessible to those who have mastered the Creation Rebirth technique, and as such, is only known to and usable by Tsunade. While very similar in nature to its parent technique — which facilitates the regeneration of injuries through accelerated cell division — it however does not require the use of hand seals, meaning Tsunade's wounds begin to heal as soon as they are inflicted. That is to say that where the Creation Rebirth technique needs Tsunade's conscious input to both activate and define the duration of the healing process, any wound sustained while this technique is in effect will begin recovery automatically, with no voluntary control from her part. With this technique active, Tsunade is immune to physical damage and doesn't need any sort of control over the healing process, enabling healing to happen even if she isn't conscious. The speed of healing is, because of it, greatly enhanced and perfected when compared to Creation Rebirth. To such an extent that she is able to heal internal organs completely in a matter of mere moments.
Note: Can only be used after the release of the second level of Yin Seal and lasts a maximum of 3 turns.
