Very good chapter imo. Kishi's basically feeding us Madara's departure little by little. We didn't even see it last chapter and he just started disappearing this chapter. What his motive is for this, I don't know, but it could be building up to him unleashing a jutsu to revive himself completely.

I like how in the end of the chapter, instead of putting his fingers to Sasuke's forehead and basically pushing him away like he said he always did, he actually pulled him in closer. I don't know if anyone else made that connection, but I thought that was a nice change of pace there.

Hopefully Madara sticks around. Im hoping for a, "You think i would be defeated that easily?!" moment by Madara but knowing Kishi, he'll have something to bring it home. Sooooo now wtf, is Sasuke good now? Is Kabuto a new cave pillar? Annnd now that Naruto and Tobi are finally gonna fight, is Naruto just going to beat him??? I mean its not like Tobi is just weak now, he hasnt even fought yet. Not to mention he can still de-matrialize so you can count on a hand-to-hand fight. What are you planning Kishi??????

I mean I wanted the kages to seal him and two of them dying in the process...If he vanishes like this...then Kishi made the kages look like weak idiots....besides I want to see what Tsunade wanted to do right before the sword hit...she made some seals...damn....

I think the purpose for Madara's character was for the Kage's to lose and look weak. I mean the whole point of a good villain is that he gives the appearence of being invincible. If Sasuke were to be this strong then that would lead to doubt if Naruto could beat him. Madara lost then we would know that Naruto can beat Sasuke.

We know Naruto will win but to make it epic we have to have some kind of doubt that we just can't shake when we read it. Even when the series is finished when we read it a second time we still will have that doubt. That is what makes stories and epic fights good.

Besides the good guys can't win every battle. If Itachi won and the Kage's won and Naruto defeats Tobi that would be boring. Someone had to lose.

When Sasuke killed Danzou, he was sure that Danzou had forced Itachi to kill everyone Sasuke knew, and was supposed to kill Sasuke himself. So out of revenge for what Danzou made Itachi do, he killed Danzou.

Now Sasuke knows that Itachi wasn't forced to do anything, and that Danzou wasn't the guy who wanted everyone dead, including Sasuke. He just wanted to protect the village, and was willing to give Itachi a choice in how that went down; that ultimately, he had respect for the Uchiha name, Itachi, and Sasuke.

So at this point, Sasuke might feel remorse for killing Danzou, might rethink his entire plan to wipe out Konoha.

To be honest i do not know why people give this a 5 out of 5... This chapter was a flashback of things that we were already aware of. It fed them all to Sasuke to see if his mind changes. No progression for us as readers only progress for 1 character.. If anyone could enlighten me. Other than Danzou giving him the option to keep Sasuke around nothing is new. I kinda assumed that there was a deal there anyway

i know ppl are onna hate me for saying this, but naruto didn't have it bad like itachi that suffering and loneliness right there killing your parents and woman and friends just to protect your village and little brother. Come on that just plain emotional pain the guy had to went through especially with his father's last words to him. Still i give it a 4 why cause i had to see itachi die again and proclaiming his love for sasuke i can only take so much. RIP itachi
