i want to watch it from the beginning but it justs seems a bit childish and boring. The main reason am watching it is because a lot of guys say its awesome. its only bleach and samurai x that starts well to me.. Plus both are for mature audience

If you don't like the screaming and stuff, I suggest you read the manga. This way you can read every dialogue in whatever voice, or volume you wish to, and you can also read at your own pace, without needing to skip anything, and that way you are up to date with the series without having skipped anything. Read it till you fall in love with the series, then you can start watching it.

Trust me, One Piece is for mature audience, it just starts off like that. 80% of the audience of One Piece are +18 years old.

To answer your question. Things don't start all sudden with characters being over powered and being together. From first episode Luffy is just one person sails in that vast ocean alone. His strength, is at average point.

I don't know man, I haven't felt shit. The only thing that gave me goosebumps was how Shirahoshi revealed that she already knew everything and the fact that she still obeyed her mother after death.

The entrance of the Straw Hat pirates wasn't really that special. It's been a long time since I read that chapter in the Manga and it just wasn't as epic.

.Somebody told me luffy had a brother with fire rubber powers... and thats what i thought. until i got older and said. "HEY! thats just fire" After the whole arc with ace. I stopped watching it again for about 2more years

.I saw my brother watching luffy stand on them things yelling at robin saying. "You want to live" she said yes then he shot that flag down. Saw that whole fight . (where he learned Gear 2nd)

.stop watching it for about 5months

.I then saw my brother watch luffy get a bone guy in his crew and i then asked him questions. he then told me about warlords so i was like :zonder: No wonder zoro got pwned. Then ii watched the episodes with himmm. then saw Kuma.. (thats when i started gettn hooked) Once that whole arc was over

.stopped watching it again but this time for like 2months

.I then once again saw my brother watching where luffy and 11 rookies (or 9 i forgot) was agenst the Govt. then he told me about some people who is stronger then the warlords and what luffy did to summon them there (Admirals) Then i saw my guy come back once again (kuma.) i been hooked eversince sabody

(btw. Ik the time frame for alot of them are not far. . but i decided to watch them in that order) so yep. (I skipped the whole boahancock arc.... dont know why though. i heard it was good) but i pretty much started watching/reading op last year. and i known about it since 1999. (the time frame i took may be off by a lot. as i am 18 now and was a little kid. so i may took a break for about 9years.... but the internet was not all that hot back then so i couldnt even if i wanted to)

Who gives a shit about knowing everything? It's about the experience you get when watching it. True OP wasn't as good as it is now, but 5 years ago, it was still million times better than Naruto is now. So I don't really think One Piece being better nowadays is such a good thing, it always has been amazing.

When it first aired on CN I thought OP was the stupidest thing, but I felt that way about FMA too. Then I caught an episoded and thought this isn't so bad...when is the next episode, so I went back and watched from the start and caught up. Now they are my favorite animes. If something starts out slow for you I can say "Skip ahead till it gets interesting, but then go back and watched everything from the start." ,because you can usually find things out about the series by going to the first few episodes(ie Luffy wants a crew of ten, including a musician{Brook enters here}). It took till after the Alabasta? arc for me to get interested in OP, now I am even buying the first three collections of DVDs(which is rare for me).

just started watching this one piece and its kind of childish and boring..does it get interesting later on

anime has a slow pace. so it won't live up to the expectations and gets really boring.
I was bored while watching the anime as well however once I caught up with the manga things have changed. now I keep watching the old episodes again (only the best parts of course, which makes like 5-10 minutes in 1 episode)
