can it be explained to me why any of the kage have to die it seems to me like they are the only thing keeping Madara at bay at the moment if they go down who can take him on Naruto? Sasuke? no way there will nobody standing in his way if the kages go down....

Dued Oro,is gone. He as absorbed by Sauske and the sealed by Itachi meh is done for. If Kabato could have brought him back he would have. Edo Tensi can't even bring him back because he was sealed.

think about it this way: since the creator of edo tensei was around during madara's time, senjus being uchihas rival and all, then its highly likely he would have been able to learn a whole lot about the technique, its advantages, disadvantages etc.

Don't know if someone has said this but Tobirama never used Endo, he was the inventor of Death Seal that Minato used on 9 tails and Hiruzen used on 1st and 2nd and Orichimaru's arms.

Tobirama was not the inventor of the reaper Death seal. These special seals are from the uzumaki clan.

Mega plot hole!!!!! If all it takes to break out of Edo Tensei is to know the seal then second Hokage should have been able to brea free from it. This is what I call pulling one out your end side without giving it much thought...

The 2nd hokage wasnt aware of his movements neither conscious of his actions as madara is.

AND...i think that exists a mistranslation in this chapter. Madara is saying that edo-tensei has a huge advantage of a immortal body and infinite chakra which make the edo release a huge pain in the ass.

But break edo tensei was his only choice. Look at madara at the final picture...he's skin has changed. He's alive but immortal any more!!!

Let me add to Pedrofausto's argument. Before the Edo tensei is put in use there are kunai talisman placed inside the raised body as explained by Kabuto. That talisman is the one that forces raised specimen to do the bidding of the user of the jutsu. The consiciousness is taken away from the specimen. Thats why Madara wasn't able to release himself from the jutsu because his consciousness was take away and so did tobirama when he used in the edo tensei. When Kabuto was forced to release the jutsu that revived the dead shinobi (edo tensei), the revived shinobi started to gain conscious and so did Madara Uchiha. the revived Tushikage mentioned his consciousness was returning here is the evidence

It has nothing to do with consciousness, and everything to do with the subjects will being bound to a contract seal. Many of those who summoned by Kabuto with Edo Tensei were fully conscious.

Their souls were bound to the bodies Kabuto picked by a contract seal, and then their personalities and wills were controlled by those talismans. Again, none of this had anything to do with consciousness.

The reason why Tobirama couldn't do what Madara did, is because Orochimaru used a talisman that inhibited everything except for basic responses to orders by Oro. Kabuto even explains the way the control talismans work.

I'm glad all of the sealed souls were allowed to ascend when edo tensei was released. I wouldn't want all those shinobi sealed up on earth for eternity...seems cruel

i dont get how madara stayed

i shall elaborate for you... you see madara uchiha and hashirama senju were rivals, eventually they formed the village hidden in the leaves as a partnership. during this time hashirama's brother, tobirama senju(the second hokage) developed the edo tensei jutsu. it makes sense that madara would know the seals of his rivals clan, so when he himself was brought back with edo tensei, he would be able to gain control, for if the caster released the edo tensei, all madara would have to do is cancel or re-activate it himself.

thus the only way to stop madara now would be to seal his hands along with the rest of his body
