Gathering and concentrating my chakra, I infuse it into the ground manipulating the earth changing its composition from hard rock to as soft as clay. I then dig into the ground which allowed me to detect the movements of you clone via vibrations which allow me to then know of your clone location immediately. Never-mind. Read wiki. I would be sensing by the magnetic forces. By using the magnetic forces, I could sense whats happening on the surface. I was assuming my chakra was use for sensing, but it is not. My chakra is use to create a hole in the ground. Also, turning the ground composition was a mistake on my part and I should have said sand instead of clay.

Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.

Alright, next jutsu.
I want you now to begin sending your Earth Chakra throughout the ground. I will place a clone several meters away from you. When your chakra reaches my clone, control the earth around my clone to channel upwards, thus creating spikes around my clone to stab him.

I manipulate the earth with my chakra by infusing my chakra into the ground. I then focus and concentrated sending my chakra towards your clone where when reach your clone spikes formed by emerging below around your clone and stab him.

How might one defend against this?

Earth protective armor or lightening based attack.

So how exactly would the Lightning based attack defend against it? By the time you use it, it'd come up and stab you.
What about Wind?

I was think some sort of lightening field or surge at close-range or lightening surrounding your body such as The Fourth Raikage Raiton armor. For wind, it is also complicated as a degree of control and manipulation is necessary. We are talking about manipulating the wind so that it covers a 360 degree protective barrier. Hyuuga with the aid of their Byakugan can pull it off utilizing Rotation. However, a regular shinobi would have to pull some crazy wind technique out of his butt. The timing no matter how you look at it is a pain.

Nagashi would work, if you state that it goes into the earth.

How about pushing yourself off from the ground to avoid the spikes?

See... I thought about it. However, if not mistaken, rules say we must counter and not allowed to aviod or dodge. It could be referring to freeform counter and not Jutsu countering. I don't know. Thata work.

LOL We been on this like forever... >_> Wind Jutsu to fly out of the way by exhaling a gust of wind onto the ground where it then lift me into air.... Yeah, I thought of this and didn't put what you said. xD.

Anyhow, for this next jutsu, I want you to build up a tremendous amount of chakra in your hands. Then, make a fist with both your hands and slam the ground, releasing that built-up chakra to cause a small tremor to flow towards my clone. Like a mini earthquake.
How might you use this?

Focusing a tremendous amount of chakra and concentrate the chakra to both my hands, then turn both my hands into a fist and after, I slam my fist onto the ground. As I slam my two fist, I release the chakra that was built within and thus created a small tremor, similar to an earthquake, towards your clone.

How? Halting my opponent for advancing or mobility.

However, wouldn't they lose balance as well?
Why might it be important to maintain balance in a battle?

Yes, they would. Losing balance catchs you off guard and cause you your life.
