I think you are right about the Edo Tensei, and I believe that he is planning on reviving the sons of the sage of six paths, and possibly the sage of six paths himself.

i think the scrolls formula is to undo the shiki fugin seal and oro being back makes perfect sense because he's always been screwing around with all sorts of forbidden jutsu

I suspect that the scroll contains info on how to release something from the death god. Orochimaru was probably trying desperately to get his arms back so he could make hand seals again. Sasuke probably wants to use that technique to release the hokages and hear the villages side of the story so he can decide if he wants to hate the leaf or not.

I did the exact same thing you did and I started thinking the scroll was Edo for Saske's Parents. Remeber he said he wants to know everything and Itachi said maybe Saske could have changed their parents if he came to them at first.

i have a feeling that in that scroll might be secret how to "void" Reaper Death Seal, so that they would be able access previous Hokages and so that Sasuke could ask them about Uchihas, well, that's just my guess tho :shrug:

Apparently chakra is its own entity in the Narutoverse. Kinda like copies of yourself. Would kinda explain how Minato and Kushina were able to talk to sNaruto despite being dead/sealed.
